- The Upper Class Axis of Evil -

1. New England Patriots (Result of growing up a Colts fan. Enough said.)

2. Chicago Bulls (Jazz fan, 90's kid. Also enough said.)

3. Los Angeles Lakers (can't stand Kobe or Shaq, lots of rivalry with the Jazz, and local Lakerwagoners are some of the most classless, annoying people I've ever met.)

4. Pittsburgh Steelers (Mom grew up an Oilers fan who suffered through more than a few painful losses and cringes at the sight of a terrible towel. Stepdad is a lifelong Seahawks fan who's still scarred from the SB XL fiasco. Suffice to say, "Steelers" has been a cuss word at my house all my life.)

- Other Teams I Hate a Little Less than the Axis of Evil But Still Hate A lot -

5. New York Yankees

6. Detroit Red Wings

7. New Jersey Devils

8. LA Galaxy

9. Kentucky Basketball

Let me put it this way: watching sports with me isn't a fun experience for most people.

You kidding, you must be great to watch games with. People who care enough to hate that much are a hoot to watch games with in my experience. Especially when their hate intersects with your own.

If it seems like mine don't relate at all, it's likely because my favorite teams don't have any sort of common theme, and I don't live in the markets in which they play. Thus, my least favorite teams are a mix of the local (Philly) teams, my teams' rivals and the teams that basically everyone hates. Also, I don't really care about basketball these days.

Hmmm...it seems that I hate players whose attitudes match their teams, but here's my top 3:

1. New York Yankees

2. Pittsburgh Steelers

3. Los Angeles Lakers

As for the rest, here are teams that I've had a noticeable distaste for:

4. Boston Red Sox

5. New England Patriots

6. Los Angeles Clippers

7. Pretty much all SEC teams aside from S Carolina and Mizzou

8. Arizona Coyotes

9. Houston Rockets

10. Portland Trail Blazers

11. Chicago Blackhawks

12. Chicago Cubs

13. San Francisco 49ers

14. Pittsburgh Penguins

Now I'll admit, a lot of it has to do with who's playing on the team; the Steelers will probably drop off the top (bottom?) 3 as soon as Ben Roethlisberger retires or leaves the team. Maybe even the Lakers (!) drop off for some time once Kobe Bryant retires, as they probably won't be relevant until well after that (but the next Pau Gasol-level trade they manage to pull out of you-know-where, though... <_<).

That said, I think the Yankees are pretty secure at the top given that their approach has been to buy their way to championships (though the Red Sox have largely taken that approach as well).

I was also going to put BYU athletics here too (albeit low), given their general two-faced attitude - You know, acting holier-than-thou while quite openly nut-punching Boise State and possibly Utah State players - but I find myself sympathizing with them more in this "To Play or Not to Play" debate in their rivalry with the University of Utah; they're off the list for now. Sorry Utes, you don't take a respite from a 100-plus-year-old basketball rivalry just because said rivalry games are too heated and therefore potentially violent...settle it on the court (or whatever playing surface).

Washington State (if I see someone wearing Wazzu merchandise, or see a Wazzu bumper sticker or decoration on a car, I always mutter the same thing under my breath, not safe for this board)

New York Rangers

Chicago Blackhawks

Dallas Cowboys (I even own "The Dallas Cowboys Haters Handbook" published in the 80's, but the hate still is strong)

Atlanta Braves

When I liked and watched basketball, I hated the L.A. Lakers

Any team that plays in Paris or Sweden

1. Detroit Red Wings (All they ever do is win and make the playoffs... you have no idea how much it pains me, an avid Detroit hater, to see a team be successful from there!)

2. Waz-Spew (Yes... anytime Washington State is mentioned, it leads to me calling them Waz-Spew. BTW, why has no one taken that damn flag from a Gameday site and used it as toilet paper?)

3. Gonzaga (HEY! HEY!! Enough with the feel good act... your asses need to put back at the kiddie table with Waz-Spew and Eastern Washington)

4. Oklahoma City Thunder (Yes, it's the former Sonics... but over the years the hate has died down. Don't get me wrong, it hurts. But the pain has subsided)

5. New York Yankees (2001... that's it)

6. Oregon football (AKA Nike's bitch)

7. The ENTIRE Big Ten [save for Indiana] (Why the Hoosiers get spared? Guess I had a soft spot for Bobby Knight. Other then... It's in my blood as a man from Washington to hate on the Big Ten)

8. Detroit Lions (I have a younger brother who is a diehard Lions fan... why he would sell his soul to be part of that fan base is a mystery no mortal maybe able to answer)

Honorable Mention: Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Portland Trail Blazers, Boston fans in general

1. Chicago Blackhawks- BANDWAGONERS and :censored: I wish they would shut up and start losing like they used too!!!

2. Dallas Stars- They took Minnesota's team, and acted like it was no big deal...

3. Green Bay Packers- SKOL VIKINGS so...

4. Colorado Avalanche- Everyone around that franchise still thinks they can have their cake, even though that opportunity is LONG gone.

5. North Dakota- SIOUX'S A GIRLS NAME!!!!

6-The Rest. Pretty much any team that's playing my favorite teams, Wild, Gophers, Vikings, USA

I also am really starting to hate the Arizona Coyotes. Not so much the players, as much as WHY THE HELL DO THEY STILL HAVE A TEAM THERE?!?!?!?

1. Chicago Blackhawks

Entitled bandwagoners that practically forgot about their team before 2009...  Still manage to complain about everything in spite having three titles in six years, please shut up!  "But those were the dark days of Bill Wirtz!"  Yeah, well real fans support their team through thick and thin.

2. Boston Bruins

Mostly due to that disgusting rat-faced, puke Marchand... And the way the media fawned over them during 2011 finals in spite of being just as classless as the Canucks if not more so...  And they play in Boston.

3. New England Patriots

Tom Brady

4. Tampa Bay Lightning

Still mad about 2004...  And you're not the Maple Leafs, get your own identity!

5. Seattle Seahawks

Bandwagon fans and truly awful uniforms brought them here.

6. Boston Red Sox

Another New England team, not much else to say.

7. L.A. Lakers

Kobe, Shaq, a steady influx of titles, eye-sore uniforms and idiot fans.

8. Boston Celtics

Another Boston team...

9. Chicago Cubs

Hope the drought lasts another 100 plus years...  You deserve nothing.

10. Buffalo Sabres

Quit whining about "No Goal," "Soft Goal" or whatever other injustice you think you've suffered.  The team wasn't good enough to get it done, end of story.  The praise for the overrated piece of clip-art known as their original logo also contributes.
