football_canada67
I haven't seen any photos of Canadian Interuniversity Sports Football (Canadian College Ball) uniforms posted here... Thought a few would be interesting to share. Some would definitely fit in with NCAA looks! Here are some of my favourites, feel free to add more! Carleton Ravens (OUA) - Ottawa, Ontario McMaster Marauders (OUA) - Hamilton, Ontario Guelph Gryphons (OUA) - Guelph, Ontario Western Mustangs (OUA) - London, Ontario Laval Rouge et Or (RSEQ) - Quebec City, Quebec UBC Thunderbirds (CANWEST) - Vancouver, BC Mount Allison Mounties (AUS) - Sackville, New Brunswick Calgary Dinos (CANWEST) - Calgary, Alberta Saskatchewan Huskies (CANWEST) - Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
Ferdinand Cesarano
To be honest, the only good one in the whole bunch is the opponent in one of the Calgary shots. With a little searching I have discovered this to be the University of Alberta Golden Bears. Their jerseys have a weird texture around the shoulders; but I love the solid colours -- no panels, no weird striping. They even do without stripes on the pants. The two solid colours without white create an interesting 1930s / 1940s aesthetic. The team also looks very good with unstriped white jerseys over yellow pants. It seems that Alberta's previous uniforms had traditional striping, evoking a Packer-esque feel: While there is nothing wrong with that set, the current look is very clean and strikingly attractive, with the exception of the unnecessary team name on the front. Webfooter
That weird texture is on the jerseys because they're made by Adidas, which uses that knit pattern on most of their uniforms. You see a similar pattern on UBC and Guelph, both of which also use Adidas.
