Here's one that should be really easy.

Round III

I. The teams I played for have a combined total of 8 Super Bowl appearances.

II. An NFL Films highlight of mine could be mistaken for a Dollar Shave Club plug.

III. I was the first player in Super Bowl history to do this.

IV. I am on ESPN's list of the greatest athletes of the 20th century.

Joe Montana?

ConcreteCharlie gets on the board with Joe Montana.

I. Montana played for the 49ers - 6 SB appearances and the Chiefs - 2 SB appearances.

II.  "Black 59 Razor."

III. Montana was the first player to be named Super Bowl MVP three times.

IV. ESPN has Montana listed at #25 on it's list of greatest athletes of the 20th century.

I didn't attend Alabama and neither did the player we're looking for. Read the clues closely.

Yeah, I just took a random guess w/o looking anything up.  I'm looking up people's colleges now (please tell me if this is frowned upon)

I all but give away the college in the clue.

I figured out the college.  I'm basically giving up on this clue right now because I think scanning the All-Century team looking for people in Paul Warfield's era is a bit too far.

I don't think you quite get how this works. It's not supposed to be ridiculously easy, but this one is really easy - if you read the clues closely enough. FWIW, going over the all-century team is the easiest way to get this one.

Alright, cool.  Thanks - this is my first time participating in this, so I'm still kind of feeling my way around this thread.

My next answer is Matt Snell

You have to respect a man with Joe Flacco and Adam Jones jerseys in his sig.  Go easy on him.

Lol thanks for the support! Go Ravens and Orioles.

*shrinks back into darkness as people notice the other two jerseys on the sig*

Crabcake47 with the win. Matt Snell is who I was looking for.

I. Snell and I both went to college at "THE" Ohio State University.

II. Snell's jersey number was 41, my user name has a 41, etc. (Not that anyone cares, but I wore #41 for the majority of my baseball playing days.)

III. He was named to Ohio State's all-century team - as a defensive end, oddly enough.

IV. Matt Snell rushed for 180 yards against the Oilers in his rookie year which was the Jets single game record at the time. (May still be, I don't know.)

V. Snell's 121 rushing yards in Super Bowl III were, at the time, a Super Bowl record.

Sweet.  Are we keeping track of how many people get?  Just wondering.
