mcj882000
Dirty slide or not, punching a guy - especially a punch like that - is crossing a line. My guess is they both get a suspension, and Odor's will probably be longer.

It was a dirty slide by a player who is very easy to hate. But I'm sure there were better ways to deal with the situation than to start throwing punches. FiddySicks
Rumors are that Tim Lincecum is inching closer to a big league deal with the Angels, and it could be announced as soon as this afternoon. If this is true, it's a bit bittersweet as a Giants fan, but I'm over the moon that he's getting another shot. He probably won't, but I'll definitely be rooting for him to light the AL up and storm back to Freak Mode. That dude is always gonna be one of the most important players in San Francisco Giants history. EDIT: And now it's official. Timmy is an Angel. Dynasty
Not a Giants fan, but Lincecum was always one of my favorite players. I remember watching him in the 2010 World Series against Texas and I couldn't help but root for the guy. It was a combination of his pitching style and luscious hair that caught my attention and despite me rooting for Texas in that series, I just loved watching him pitch and do well. Regardless of where he goes, I hope he makes a comeback... and I'll be rooting for him.
SFGiants58
It'll be weird to see The Freak suit up for a team other than the Giants, but I'm happy that he'll still be playing at the MLB level. He was always one of my favorites (heck, he's probably the reason why I kept my interest up during the "island of misfit toys and Omar Visquel" campaigns of '08 and '09), and it'll be interesting to see how Timmy makes a case for himself in the weak 2016 free agency class. Norva
I don't think there is a manager in the world who could make anything out of that roster to be fair.

They've built a roster to tank. Maybe they were trying too hard to win. @2001mark
rsaline
When did the Cardinals take the arch out of their mowing pattern? I'm actually pretty disappointed, that was one of my favorite quirks.

Chicageaux
The White Sox have seemed to revert back to regular-season form. In the last ten games, they're: 4-6 On a 4 game losing streak And own a 2.5 game lead in the American League The main problem is the pitching. Outside of Sale and Quintana, the bullpen is shaky, Rodon and Latos are inconsistent, and there still isn't a true fifth starter. It's not outside of the realm to believe the team can win at least a Wild Card spot but if the pitching remains as unreliable as it has the last week and half, it's not happening. Sport
I got to do something last night that I've wanted to do ever since they installed it and that's sit on the Riverboat in centerfield of Great American Ballpark. It was great. Awesome view of the action, free food and drinks courtesy of my girlfriend's company, and 8 and 1/3 innings of entertaining baseball. Historically bad bullpen blows another game with a homerun, but the positive is if they'd won in 9 innings like a competent bullpen they would've been under 11 strikeouts so by blowing the game they were able to earn more outs in extra innings and wound up with enough strikeouts for me to get a free personal pizza for lunch today with my ticket. Thanks, Tony Cingrani, you garbage major league pitcher!
