ITT: Posters whose name ends in "o" have vendetta against lowly California hockey team. Probably pissed in their Corn Flakes or something.

Main thing that annoyed me was the power play. They kept trying to have Burns rifle one in there and while he does have a cannon there, the better chances came closer to the dots, making Quick move a bit. I still think the Sharks have played better hockey overall in this series and think they get off the schnide Wednesday night and regain the two goal lead.

"And then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain and I can't feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life... You have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm sure. But don't worry... you will someday."

Nah. Constantly taking the gas pipe in the playoffs and declaring that their fans are the best in hockey pretty much soured people on the Sharks.

That is true. Because of the Sharks, Bucfan won't even watch or talk hockey anymore. He's now a massive NBA fan, which was unthinkable five years ago.

Well, I wouldn't consider myself a massive NBA fan by any stretch, but Steph Curry happened, so, yeah. There's that.

I had mentioned after the collapse in 2014 that I was pretty much DONE, and I think I was more serious than I even expected to be.

Even if they do find a way to win the cup (lol), I don't think I'll even really enjoy it all that much.

Minnesota and LA- well, it's a start, but game 4 is the telling tale. Teams that win game 3 after going down 2-0 are more likely to come back from that then the always scary 3-1 deficit.

So... Teams down 2-0 that win Game 3 are more likely to come back as long as they don't lose Game 4 and go down 3-1...

Sure makes sense. Put it on a shirt.

May I remind you that San Jose out played the Kings in games 1 & 2 two years ago also. The Kings outhit the Sharks 61-39 and were just laying it on them, even on the power play. Which Fox Sports had the Sharks with 3 shots on goal in 5 Power Plays... that is bad. The Kings also played their first complete game and Quick was the Jonathan Quick we all know, just making key saves. I always look at games 1 & 2 of a series as feel out games, and the series really begins in game 3. But the one thing I noticed tonight was how the Kings were just leaning on the Sharks all night long. Sure the Sharks had their opportunities, but they were usually one and done and not much of a sustain attack. I think that made sense if it didn't, just chalk it up to me being me. :)

I don't care what you think of the actual calls in the games (here's looking at you, Ryan White), you can't give up 5 power play goals in an NHL game and expect to win, especially when some of that damage was inflicted by your own fans.

Flyers seem to have imploded after a good run to the playoffs.

The Caps are playing like the best team in the league. The Flyers are gassed, physically and mentally. They have been playing playoff hockey for two months just to get in. It's disappointing to see them get crushed like this but then again, I didn't expect them to even make the playoffs.

Yes, you always were a little bit of an odd ball...

Fenwick had the Kings take two periods in Game 2 and Game 3 was pretty much right down the middle. Thing is, I think the Sharks wanted to match the physicality the Kings brought and they ended up taking stupid penalties that cost them. However, the gameplan has provided a lot of benefits for San Jose and if they can get back to play the puck, rather than the person, they could steal Game 4. If they don't - which is entirely possible, cause, like, Kings are a good team - then they need to panic a bit and retool a game plan back at Staples. Just because they've been the best road team doesn't mean they have to rely on it.

Hawks fans have been getting pretty smug about the Blues outhitting them as a function of not having the puck but are neglecting to mention that all those hits make the Hawks stop having the puck.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Because, excuses make losing teams feel better.

The thing is, when it's all said and done, the only stats that matter are the goals for and goals against. Does anyone know or care how many hits the Blackhawks have had over the past five seasons? How about penalty minutes for the Islanders in the 80s.

No. Doesn't matter.

What matters is that those teams were extremely successful in those respective timeframes, winning multiple Championships.

Next week we'll know who the superior team was and, come June, if either team had enough gumption to put it all together to win The Cup. When The Cup is raised, by whomever the victor is, we won't be talking hits, shots on goal, penalty minutes, or even how f-ing awkward Bettman is stammering through his speech, pre-Cup presentation.

Agree, except we will totally be talking about Gary Bettman's awkward trophy presentation speech.
