So it's Nashville again- oh joy, Pekka Rinne and a bunch of Dead Puck era grinders.

 

It's funny- everytime I like the Preds (2004-2006-2007-last year) they let me down in the first round. I didn't buy into them this year or 2011, they win a series.

 

With all due respect to the Wild of 2015 and 2016, this is a Wild Card Cinderella team that you can actually think could make another round.

If not for 2007, the Ducks would be rivaling "Shark status" right now. Four straight Game 7 losses, all at Honda. OUCH.

Wonder how many buttmonkeys are celebrating the ouster of the perennially contending Anaheim Ducks. Not too many, I'm guessing!

 

This sucks. I do not care for many of Anaheim's players, but I loathe Nashville. Glad fourth place really paid off!

Nashville is a strong team that played really good defense tonight. They also won the season series against the Sharks 2-1.  Excluding empty netters and Shootout goals Nashville outscored the Sharks 9-5.  Jones was 0-2 as Reimer got the start and only win in the final meeting in Nashville, which need a shootout goal by Couture.  

 

Obviously, the regular season stats don't usually mean much, but Nashville is no slouch.  Sharks ousted the Kings and Nashville beat Anaheim both top contenders for the Stanley Cup so neither team should be taken lightly.  

 

The Sharks will be forced to win at home if they are going to win the series.  Hopefully the Shark Tank will be the intimidating building it was once known for. Hoping for a great series and Sharks win.

I'm sorry for all the mean things I've ever said about the Sharks. If this is how you all felt, I am terribly sorry. Rooting for a group of choking dogs... It's... It's awful.

 

Just... Just...  ing damn it. How? How do they come out this way? They know their history. They know the stakes. They know how close they were a year ago. How well they played this season. And to come out with that? I just...  ing hell...

 

I hope the Sharks shove a stick so far up James Neal's ass that it comes out of his mouth.
