I liked the way they looked in the mid-90s, when they made the Rose Bowl run. I like purple jerseys better though. I think the ones they have now (had?) that are purple with black horizontal stripes across the chest are pretty good. I think they have the right shade of purple to mix with black and still have some contrast. The Ravens' shade is darker and bluer so it doesn't stand out as well. lopernv
Digging... I love this topic. Not sure if I've seen bright green+lighter-than-royal blue anywhere else. This one, simply because pink is strange for a home team, looks sharp with black. I hate to put an iconic look here but there is no other team that uses colours like these, especially separating all the pieces of the kit by colour. It's almost as if Brazil's yellow-green home jersey isn't iconic on its own... it's the combination of it with the blue shorts. I don't think there is any other identity like that in the world, at least I can't think of one. Not sure if this is in here already.

I had a hat from circa 2000 that had this logo, but royal blue instead of navy. To this day, I think that was extremely sharp.

I've never really been a soccer fan, but I can remember one year ('96? '00?) rooting for Brazil in the World Cup finals because I liked their uniforms better than those of their competitors, France I think. It was on my grandma's TV in middle-of-nowhere farm country in southwest Iowa, so it wasn't the easiest to see, but I was happy when Brazil won. I don't even remember noticing the blue shorts, which admittedly do make the set cooler. I just thought the yellow-and-green shirts were amazing. EDIT: I think it was 2002, when Brazil beat Germany in the final match. Also, interestingly enough, the new Savannah Bananas baseball team will also wear blue, green, and yellow, although I'm sure not in the same way. kc51design
Brown and sky blue of AG2R, love it with a lot of white. Then a bit darker brown with royal blue, nice combo. Staying with brown, love how it works with red light blue with red, specially when there is no white in between, when they touch each other. And probably one you haven't seen coming - pink and light blue. You'll be sing this combo hopefully a lot in next 3 weeks, since this is pink jersey of Giro leader combined with Nibali's team Astana light blue. lockerroom51
CreamSoda
Brown has got to be the most underused color scheme in sports. It looks so good yet we hardly see it.

Maybe the reason it looks so good is because of it's scarcity?

It's not a scheme, just one color. I agree, though. Brown can look really good. It's a shame more teams don't use it.

ScubaSteve
The wine/gold/navy/light blue scheme for the Atlanta Thrashers had a lot of potential imo. Their jerseys and logos were head-scratchers though. Here was the closest I thought they got to a great combo

Florida A&M is another, although they're much less prominent in sports. Some people would count the Dolphins in that group as well, especially the Marino-era Dolphins whose "aqua" color was pretty green-ish. I feel like I've seen a dozen other examples of green and orange, but I can't think of any others off the top of my head.

Here was the closest I thought they got to a great combo I feel like all Atlanta has to do to have a quality set was give up the light blue and use white in its place. Five colours is just too much, and outside of their alternate jersey (which became a fulltime look), the light blue was only used sporadically anyways. FiddySicks
My club, Sacramento Republic FC, uses brown, maroon, and tan/sand (They call it "eggshell"), and it's a pretty solid look. They've since changed to all white road kits, but I thought this look worked surprisingly well. They should've gone with striped socks or something, but otherwise, tan and white is a good combination.
