2016 Sacramento Kings Concept

For those of you living under a rock, the Sacramento Kings unveiled some new logos. I was a fan of all of them and it was definitely one of the best logo rebrands I've seen. I was hoping that they would be going with a purple and sky blue color scheme, but we've now seen that's not the case. Here's what I envisioned for them:

 

Whats new:

- Purple and Sky Blue color scheme

- Simple but modern striping across the shoulders and pants

- Sky Blue fauxback alternate

- return of the half black/half purple jersey as an alternate

- custom number font based on new wordmark

Agreed. This is a great presentation, but the half-and-half alternate seems weird to me. Maybe it's that I've never designed/taken notice of basketball jerseys, but it just doesn't seem right to me.

Fixed the numbers, don't know why I made them so big. The half n' half jersey is very unorthodox, and it's hard to pull off. The Kings have done this before, and from my knowledge it was quite popular

Everything looks great, but the half and half IMO. But I do agree that the rebrand was fantastic
