deanjrobinson
Day 6. Cleveland Cavaliers - Alternate An updated take on the Cavs late 70s home jersey, limited the striping to the side panels of the jersey and the shorts, and the inside of the collar. I’ve also tweaked the ‘Cavaliers’ wordmark slightly to make all the letters a uniform height (rather than the extended ‘C’ and ‘S’ they currently use). ahowe6464
This is another great concept. My only complaint would be to change the waistband to match the collar.
deanjrobinson
Day 7. Dallas Mavericks - Road Jersey Kept things simple by trading the light-blue and silver in for green. Green is underused in pro sports (in my opinion), and the while the Mavs had green in the early days, and have played around with green alternate jerseys in recent years, I’d like to see it return to their default palette on a more permanent basis. http://thirdkit.co/2016/05/07/dallas-mavericks-away/
ahowe6464
I always thought that the Mavs should emphasize green more, and this set does it. Love the recolored logos.
deanjrobinson
Day eight. Denver Nuggets - Home Tried a bunch of ideas making use of the rainbow and the skyline and they all felt way too forced, so I abandoned all of them and went for something based on an alternate they wore a few years back – this ‘Nuggets’ script has a little more personality that the current jersey wordmark. The rest of the jersey is pretty simple, but simple is (usually) better. http://thirdkit.co/2016/05/08/denver-nuggets-home/
rsaline
This was always my favorite script for the nuggets, and I'm sad they abandoned it. I like the yellow text, but I think the sides could have a little bit more detail. Keep up the great work.
deanjrobinson
Day nine. Detroit Pistons Not entirely happy with this one, but I really struggled to come up with something that was more than just their wordmark on a single coloured jersey. Now that it’s done I’m thinking I would have been better to go with either the asymmetrical design, or the number in the circle, but not both. At least it’s different… http://thirdkit.co/2016/05/09/detroit-pistons-alternate/
ahowe6464
I like the idea, but I agree that it needs work. For one I'd have the letters facing down (like the Thunder alternates), and I really like the number in the circle but like you said, it should be one or the other. Gates55
To me there is nothing wrong with it. It doesn't clash or look forced and I feel if you do change it keep the number in the circle.

deanjrobinson
Day ten. Golden State Warriors There was talk last month that the Warriors were considering adding an ‘Oakland’ jersey to their lineup at some point in the future – preferably in place of one of their nasty sleeved alts they wear currently. The real thing, if it were to follow this ‘pattern’, would more than likely use the full Warriors logo, but I still think it’s too ‘heavy’ to be slapped onto a jersey as is – I much prefer the simpler outlined style they used in the 70s/80s. http://thirdkit.co/2016/05/10/golden-state-warriors-alternate/
rsaline
Love the shorts on this one.
OhioSportsMan61
Every single one of these concepts are beautiful. I'm not much of a basketball fan, but I would absolutely buy several of these jerseys. Chicago's is my favorite so far, keep it up! My Behance Portfolio --- Follow @Steinosaur19
KittSmith_95
I'm shocked I didn't stumble upon this earlier! This whole thread is beautiful and I can't wait to see the rest of what you come with. I also adore that template you're using.
deanjrobinson
Day eleven. Houston Rockets For me the Rockets should never have dropped the yellow from their primary colour palette. I remember as a kid not really liking the mid-90s change to navy, and their current red/white/silver looks is a bit bland. So here’s something in red and yellow – just red and yellow. No black, or grey for the sake of it, and certainly no “clutch city” stacked wordmark silliness. http://thirdkit.co/2016/05/11/houston-rockets-away/
rsaline
Gorgeous. I can't criticize it at all.
Jabel777
These are FANTASTIC! My favorites are Brooklyn, Chicago, Denver, and Houston. Great work on all of them, though. I suggest that after May is over, you consider going back to tweak some things such as the Pistons alternate. Either way, nice job!
deanjrobinson
Day twelve. Indiana Pacers Hadn’t done any pin-stripes yet as part of ‘may madness’, so thought the Pacers would be a good opportunity. Based loosely on the Pacers’ road uni of the late 90s/early 00s. http://thirdkit.co/2016/05/12/indiana-pacers-away/
deanjrobinson
Day thirteen. Los Angeles Clippers Don’t think there is anything much that can be done with the Clippers current branding to make it presentable, so I haven’t used it. Instead I’ve gone for the previous ‘Clippers’ script, and the old sky blue/burnt orange colour combo from the San Diego days. The sooner the next Clippers rebrand happens the better. http://thirdkit.co/2016/05/13/los-angeles-clippers-home/
ahowe6464
Good choice. I hate everything about the Clippers as I'm sure everything does, and if they were to wear this as an alternate I'd hope they'd do it all the time.
