Favorite: Barclays Center. Looks like a top tier arena

Although I never been to neither of them, my least favorites are:

-O.co Coliseum, Looks like a dump, even has sewage leaking all over the place

RFK Stadium- has ton of vermin in there

FedEx Field- My problem here is the location, Tear down RFK and put a new one there

All these based on where I've been before

MLB

Favorite: Citi Field

Least Favorite: Veterans Stadium

NHL/NBA

Favorite: Nassau Coliseum, warts and all

Least Favorite: Eh, between the Coliseum, the Garden, and Barclays I can't say I've been in a bad arena. Well, okay, the Coliseum is but that's still my favorite.

NFL

Favorite: Heinz Field (went to a Cuse-Pitt game but man THOSE SKYLINE SIGHLIGHTS)

Least Favorite: MetLife Stadium by default because that's the only other NFL stadium I've been to

COLLEGE FOOTBALL

Favorite: If we can't count Heinz Field, well..... the Carrier Dome's way better for hoops than football, Rutgers Stadium is as bland as you'd expect it to be, Cornell's Schoellkopf Field is kinda cool with the shape but also in dire need of a new grandstand, Hofstra's Shuart Stadium is a tin box, Princeton Stadium is a mini-Rutgers Stadium, Colgate's Andy Kerr Stadium is a glorified high school field with a random jump up in the middle (though has some nice scenery), so Stony Brook's LaValle Stadium I guess would win this with the DQ of Heinz Field.

Least Favorite: I guess Colgate's Andy Kerr Stadium

COLLEGE BASKETBALL

Favorite: Carrier Dome.

Least Favorite: Eh, every college hoops venue I've been to's good.

My answer to this is always the same: Great American Ballpark. It's a really great baseball stadium; A+ all the way around. It's never on anyone's great baseball stadium pilgrimage list, but it should be. It was a classic the moment it opened, and I haven't been to a stadium experience that compares.

I haven't been to too many college venues, but Hec Ed ("Alaska Air Arena" I think is the official title) at University of Washington is pretty fun. It's a tiny (10,000-seat for basketball) multi-use arena, but it's intimate, has good sightlines, and the windows give it an almost church-like feel. Plus it's really handsome from the outside.

I used to drive past that place all the time when I lived in the U District. It took me about a full month to realize it was a basketball arena. Very different look for a basketball gym, but very nice.

It's funny to hear you say that because I like Safeco Field better, though GABP is my home away from home. It's nice to hear good things about it.

It's gotten even better in the last 5 years or so.

Wisconsin grad and Gopher hater, here.

I love Williams Arena.  It's nice to have old barns around (and I really wish I could have gone to that old place at Oregon).  It's old/historic but not totally uncomfortable.  I graduated the year before Kohl Center opened.  And the UW Field House, while it certainly had character, was a bit too rustic.  It made Williams Arena look like a brand-new NBA arena or something.  From the student section, I could not get to the bathroom (only located behind opposite basket) and back during halftime.  It had its charm, but it was time for it to go.  I would not say the same of Williams.

The Kohl Center is a great facility overall...and like I said, it was time to say goodbye to the Field House for any event capable of selling out.  But it certainly is not intimate; something is lost.  So it's a good college basketball venue but I don't know that I'd call it great.

On the other had I think it's an outstanding hockey venue.  Expanding the playing surface from a hoops floor to a larger rink surface and the 2nd and 3rd decks are right on top of the ice. Add to that the fact that they moved from a terrible 1960s-era dump with poor sight lines, too new for charm, too old for function that was off campus (and really took hockey off of the student-body radar), the move was a 100% positive for hockey in my opinion (though some long-time UW puck fans disagree thanks to nostalgia or the off-campus beer garden).

Favorites:

Michie Stadium, West Point

old Tampa Stadium, Tampa FL - sat on field for 4th of July fireworks, the Bermuda grass was so soft, several kids fell asleep

Giants Stadium - NJ Generals and NY Cosmos games, the staff were great, the fan bases not so NFL drunk

Madison Square Garden - did a hockey/basketball doubleheader

Daytona International Speedway - Infield was awesome!

Least:

Washington Avenue Armory, Albany NY - Albany Patroons coached by Phil Jackson, COLD, lacked heat

Boston Garden - Rat hole!

Fenway Park - Bigger Rat Hole!

Shea Stadium - Staff removed our student group to upper deck AFTER we were okayed to sit closer to the field

Tailgating at Giants' Stadium, Michie, and Charlotte Motor Speedway were great!  The best, though, was at Watkins Glens International, where it seemed people were willing to trade food for food.

Eh safeco  is alright  but the  food  there is  anything but good

Food isn't really a concern of mine when I'm examining what I think of a ballpark, though I understand why it's important for some people. I mostly look for atmosphere, architecture, convenience, sight lines, game ops, and how easy it is to get around once inside the stadium. I'm not paying $15 for a sandwich every time I go to the yard. 90% of the time I'm getting a one dollar hot dog and an $8 beer and I'm set. I can get that at every single major league stadium.

Now if some of you ballpark tourists ever find yourself at Great American Ballpark they have some really good food and some cool restaurants. There's the craft beer section on the lower level on the third base side. A must visit. I also suggest The Machine Room if you're looking for a place to sit and eat, especially if your tickets are in the upper deck. It's near the foul pole in left field. The view is really good and anyone in the stadium can go there regardless of where their seats are. When the Reds clinched the division in 2012 my friends and I snagged tickets in the last row, but were able to get a table in the Machine Room on the balcony overlooking the field. It was great.

Oh the gap is awesome  but I  don't like  how  safeco had sushi

Safeco is down the street from one of the biggest fish markets in the country and is owned by a Japanese corporation. Is that really surprising? :P

It's a pretty nice yard. I went to a game at Rogers in 1997.  Normally, I'm not a fan of parks with roofs and fake grass, but and I really liked the place. The roof was open which I imagine made a big difference.

With the roof open it makes the experience 10× better. The Views, the Warm Summer evening, The Atmosphere....

MLB:

Best: PNC Park and GABP

Worst: Tropicana Field (I didn't find it that bad, but it's nowhere near the same level as most of the other parks that I've been to), Sun Life Stadium (way to big for baseball and average attendance usually around 10,000).

NHL:

Only been to ACC, Buffalo, and Barclays so I don't have a best or worst. I will say that Barclays isn't as bad as everybody makes it out to be.

OHL:

Best: Kitchener Aud, Budweiser Gardens, WFCU Centre

Worst: Compuware Arena, Kingston Memorial Centre

Sporting Venue Count (for games): OHL: 19 (28 Total)- 770 games (after 18-19),

MLB: 13 (15 Total), NHL: 4

New Orleans hater much? :P I mean to be honest though our arena is lackluster and boring, but undervaluing the Superdome is just wrong.

Sorry. I love the city. But, the dome is old. The refurbishment done after Katrina is nice, but it's still old. Old seating configuration. Ungodly hot for the outdoor weather when I was there in December. Old style design and the endzone seats don't let you see the entire endzone. That's a major mark down for me to have obstructed seats in the bottom level. Plus, the turf looks like it was run over by a steamroller and I'm told they replace it every season. How can turf get that bad?

As for the arena, you can't fit the entire rink/arenaball field into it without obstructed seats. That's a flaw.
