I think the only NBA team to use purple before the Suns first season, 1968, was the Lakers moving to the Forum in 1967 and changing to "Forum Blue" which was really purple but the owner Jack Kent Cooke didn't like the name purple. I also like the letter "n" being this way so you can read the name regardless what side of the arena you are on. I'm partial to the old style when the sun was on the side of the shorts, and the lettering and numbers were in the old west lettering. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
