The Steelers collapsed. Utterly collapsed. Philly played good but we had no discipline and Ben threw like David Gerrard. Wheaton couldn't catch to save his life. Stupid penalties. Looking forward to next week when the Steelers shows up.

If I remember correctly, the Dolphins failed to shake down Miami-Dade after the Marlins fiasco, so they had to finance it themselves. It's just another symptom of our upside-down world where taxpayer-funded buildings are opulent beyond belief while the private sector builds on a budget.

That's not as upside-down as you might think.  As others who know far more about economics than I do have said, you're gonna be far more careful spending your own money on yourself than you'd be if, say, I handed you the same amount of dough.  And politicians are almost never careful with taxpayer money (among many other things...for just the money, see Zimbabwe, Illinois, California, Greece, France, Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil, etc).

Back to today's action, thumbs up to Ty Montgomery for pulling off a Leon Washington-style kickoff out of bounds.  Thumbs down to Fox's technical difficulties...and to Demarius Randall's seeming inability to cover anybody.

What a :censored: game from the Bucs. I guess it's nice they didn't lay down and get pounded though. No way they win anywhere close to ten games this year though (which was my hope). ?

Yup, our defense is still trash. No amount of upgrades or firings seem good enough to get this team an above average defense.

Good news: Seattle finally found it's offensive mojo in drop kicking the Forty Whiners.

Bad news: Wilson got hurt. I pray to whatever football gods are out there to show the Seattle fans some mercy... please don't let it be an ACL tear.

I can't watch NFL for a few weeks, but from what I've read, the HOF is considering waiving the "need to be retired" rule so they can put Carson Wentz in now. LOL Browns.

Seattle fans have had more than enough good luck come their way from the football gods (whatever they are) the last 5 or 6 years.
