It's gonna be the Patriots in a downright boring rout of the Packers in the Super Bowl. Mark my words.

Not an ideal day of football for me, I was hoping Tennessee would win the AFC South and pretty much everybody else I wanted to win lost but I'm genuinely happy for the Browns players.

By the way, Cincinnati was a little too content with a longer FG for my liking.  They had time to get a lot closer of a FG attempt and didn't.

Congrats, 'mate.

One of the rarest of days in Atlanta sports...a day where anything that could go right did.  We all know what to expect from the Saints. Carolina was the question mark, because you have to believe there's still some semblance of 2015 in them.  That two-play stretch of Tevin Coleman catching the wheel route to convert a 3rd-and-21, then Coleman running 50-ish yards on the next play (with Carolina's Bradberry wanting no part of actually tackling a guy) was fun.  So they got by the Panthers.  Then, the Saints do the Falcons a solid by playing a little defense, beating the Bucs, and wrapping up the division for the Falcons.  House money time in Seattle, and the Cardinals actually play....and win.  Most Falcons fans would have expected Week 17 to be for their playoff lives....instead, they're definitely in, definitely got a home game in the playoffs, and can earn a first round bye next week.

Tampa's starting to get good again...can't have that!  Hope Smitty goes to Jacksonville.

Sucks for the Titans and Raiders, though.  These two teams' radio broadcasts are the two I listen to the most when the Falcons aren't playing.  To hear them both have their moments of dejection was pretty bad.  Stings a little more for Oakland, obviously, because the Raiders in the second half of games are awfully scary.  They'll probably wind up as the 5-seed.  Oakland still might be able to get past the Texans, but probably not much more than that.  Kinda feels like that season when the Raiders lost Bo Jackson in the playoff game against Cincinnati, then got smoked 51-3 in Buffalo the next round.

Pittsburgh is probably the best bet to beat New England in the AFC half, but don't sleep on Kansas City.  They just kind of hang around and hang around, and make those small plays that accumulate and somehow win games.  If they had anything close to a running game, the Chiefs would be scary.

The NFC side looks daunting.  Cowboys, Falcons, Seahawks, Packers, even the Giants....sheesh.  Even more reason why that bye is important...play in one less game.

Kansas City would have to win today, win next Sunday, and then have Oakland lose. All that could happen, because they host the Broncos and then visit the crappy Chargers, but it's not a high probability. The Broncos are pretty much the kingmakers here: their own playoff chances kinda suck, but they can punch one or both AFC West teams in the mouth.

Oh and on the homefront, the Bears suck and they should fire John Fox.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Even as a Patriots fan, I wouldn't welcome this. If they win, cool. If they don't, bummer; as long as it's a good game, that's all I care about. As much as it stings to think about "what might have been" Super Bowl XLII is still one of the best games I've ever watched.

Aw, phooey. I wanted the Brownies to go 0-16... it would smack that city back to reality after what the Cavs and Indians did.

A 'double phooey' goes to Seattle for laying an egg against Arizona. Great... the two seed is gone and they're staring down the barrel of a 4 seed and a date with the Giants... and Eli in January can be scary. For a team that's pretty much a walking MASH unit, a week off would do wonders.

Oh, and can they please stop playing the Ravens ever year? They can't (and can never) beat them.

With the Steelers win, they've clinched the North and the Ravens will finish in 2nd place.

With the win over Buffalo yesterday, the Dolphins have clinched a 2nd place finish in the South.

So, sir, I'm afraid I have some bad news...

Dang Steelers. Oh well, I don't think we deserved the win anyways. We didn't really play well enough, too many early mistakes. Pretty bummed to miss out on the playoffs but I don't think this team was good enough to get there in the first place. We were pretty fortunate to be in that spot anyway. Congrats @Dolphins Dynasty, you don't have to play us anymore. Cause we would've been coming ?
