So I'm watching Trinity Christian vs Cocoa High Schooland noticed a Trinity player has volt sleeves on. Is there no requirement that gear match school colors in Florida? Trinity's colors are blue and white.

I've also noticed the big Nike schools have moved over to the Mach Speed uniforms this year, most notably Bishop Gorman and Trinity Christian.

I mean, its high school. I have seen teams that look like each player bought their gear individually at the thrift store.

True. I just know in some states they don't allow colors that aren't team colors or don't match the colors of the uniform being worn.

I always assumed unless your team was directly sponsored by a specific brand, players were allowed to wear whatever color accessories they wanted (gloves, armbands, shoes, undershirts, etc.) Kinda like how soccer players often wear shoes in a different color from their team's uniforms.

I do believe that as far as gloves, facemasks and visors schools follow the same rules as the NCAA. So when grey was the only allowed glove, all high schools could only use grey gloves as well.

They added a new exhibit in the Superdome in New Orleans showcasing high school football helmets from across the state. They also have pedestals for the state champions of each of the classifications and divisions.

When did the gray glove only rule go into effect for high school teams? Don't know about the rest of the country, but that rule never went into effect for HS football in Maryland, Virginia & Washington DC. Rarely saw high school players around here wearing gray gloves during that era. Not even with teams that wore gray/silver uniforms.

My alma mater, Hahnville High made the switch from Russel Athletic unis to Adidas this year. The tire tread and numerals suck...but the numerals weren't very good with the Russel last season. The thing that really bothers me is the change in the helmet decal. The new H decal has a photoshopped strip of tiger eyes across the H's horizontal bar. Looks pretty damn awful.

My alma mater Riverdale High School (Mt. Blanchard, Ohio) will be throwing it back this weekend with uniforms. Riverdale is a district that consolidates the former schools in Forest (My home town), Mt. Blanchard and Wharton. They formed Riverdale back in 1962. They're starting a "Heritage Series" this year for homecoming and will do so the next two seasons as well. The three schools were formally known as the Mt. Blanchard Hurricanes, Forest Rangers and Wharton Dragons. More info in the link:

Bishop Gorman with a new striping pattern and St. Thomas Aquinas  (FL) wearing all navy with sleeve patterns that match a design shown on Michigan sandals that looks like stained glass outlines.

My high school (Bellevue East- in Bellevue, Nebraska) has been experimenting with lots of trendy stuff over the past few years. Here's our home set from last season:12184963_10200961441476033_4999862014747658711_o.jpg

Our mascot is the chieftains, thus the headdress-inspired (i guess..?) feathers on the shoulders and the FSU old spear on the helmet.

This year, our school got a sponsorship deal with Adidas, so we got new home uniforms (we get new road unis next season, along with grey alternates). Here were our uniforms from this season: 14324636_10208480006291350_4508325387627558046_o.jpg

Metallic numbers with generic Adidas "speed stripe" on the shoulders, trendyyyy. The matte black helmets were retained from the previous year, and the purple facemasks were replaced with metallic silver. A "BE" on one side and a number on the other (did i say they were trendy?) replace the spears from last year.

Here are the two variations of road sets, one with black pants and one with purple pants:14589749_10208655606001233_7768660914380880311_o.jpg14138036_10208296710909080_8205939446157160915_o.jpg

bonus: I'm number 7 the last pic. BOSS

Might those Be prolook uniforms?? My high school team had the exact same style as the first pic for the last two seasons.
