MLB Changes 2017

As nice as those uniforms looked, I can agree that purple with teal being used that heavily smells of 90's neon pop colors. The sedona red, like it or not, is an excellent color for a team in Phoenix, Arizona. The Grand Canyon is sedona red, not purple and teal. I don't think that can be denied. Maybe an updated purple and teal uniform with a bit of a more modern look would be nice but I can't say that sedona red doesn't work for the DBacks.

As a Marlins fan, I miss the color teal but I wouldn't want them to go back to those teal heavy uniforms of 1993.

There needs to be a balance I guess.

I guess I'd be happier if they embraced teal/turquoise more.  No denying that turquoise is a big part of southwestern culture, especially in Arizona.

My gawd look at all the Cubs fans! Judging by just what I can see in that photo, it's easily 10-1 Cubs fan to Rockies fans.

I went to those Cubs/Rockies games last year and yeah, the stadium was just full of Cubs fans. I think those games and Ichiro's 3,000th hit game last year were the only times where there were giant crowds of people waiting to get in 10 minutes before game time and most of them were Cubs fans.

Never understood why the Diamondbacks are so desperate to get away from purple.  It's cool they brought back teal in subtle ways, but they won a damn title with purple and teal.  There's no shortage of teams that wear variations of blue and red, why not embrace what makes you unique?  It's like the Coyotes going to their stupid brick and white scheme.

Stop trying to shovel dirt on top of your own tradition, even if it does radiate 90s a bit.  The Raptors should be ashamed of themselves too.  Red and black are lame as hell.  Stand out, damn you.

$$$

The purple gear didn't sell as well. It's always about the money.

I never understood why they went with purple to begin with when a team in their own division already wears it. It wasn't unique at all. It just looked like they just lazily threw two trending colors together. The Sedona red and teal makes them unique and they totally own both colors at the moment. I wish people would just forget about the purple.

Not sure if it's been mentioned already (I don't recall but not about to dig back 77 pages)...

We are most likely going to see new batting practice caps again this year. I just bought the 2016 authentic Mets bp cap (orange front panel/Mr. Met) for $10 at lids. I asked the cashier why it was so cheap and he confirmed my suspicion.

All BP caps will now have the NE flag on the left and no AL/NL markings on the right, which has been reserved for the FL patches for spring training.

Every Sunday home game is too many times for the Jays to wear red jerseys even if they are beautiful. You know what else is beautiful? Them wearing their blue alts on Sunday home day games in the Toronto sunlight. One of the best alts in mlb, most people here actually enjoy it. Why bother with the red jersey in it's place? Odd choice from a generally not so stupid team as far as uniforms are concerned.

The Blue Jays home/road/blue uniforms are perfect.  I can understand a Canada Day tribute with red, but every Sunday?  That is way too much and not needed. The team is named after a bird, not a country.
