NHL Color Rush // A Brass Project

I get your argument, but teams that limit themselves to only the "official" colors, religiously, are laughable. If your color scheme is anything and white, using black, sparingly, to add to the design, is totally fine. If you can make it work without, great, but there's no harm in it.

Conversely, you have teams that force every color into the jersey. It's fine to have a minor logo color not represented.

From strictly a design stand point, black has no place in the concept that was posted.

Then why black? Why limit ourselves? Make it purple, green, grey, blue, orange, indigo or even ecru!

But Detroit has never needed black to look good, and neither does this Detroit concept. Using anything but your official team colors doesn't make sense... I don't see the Preds wearing hot pink helmets. But then again, I thought it was laughable to use your official team colors...

Yes, lets add black to a color scheme that has never used black because...why not!? It'll be a great idea!

Continuing the theme of the Original Six comes Detroit.

I think the right shoulder logo should be reversed so that on both the wing is going to the back

I really like the premise for this series and most of the concepts thus far hit right on the mark.  Looking forward to seeing what you do for Dallas, Calgary and Colorado.

There goes my joke of posting the Red Wings' normal home uniform and applauding them on their Color Rush initiative.

Love the throwback-esc look for the Stars! But I'm just wondering, where did all the tail stripes go?

Like how stars came out...curious to see how it'd come out in black...

*Sits here patiently waiting for the next Original Six team...hopefully the Rangers*

These are awesome. For Detroit, you don't need an outline. What you need to do is either widen the stripe to fit the numbers, or shrink the numbers to fit the stripe.

Nice, although yellow might be an interesting way to go

Some of these are good, but a few just feel way too empty, without hem striping.
