Why is Paul's "old" burgandy different than Colorwerx's 2016 burgandy?

Because Colorwerx creates files color-corrected to reflect the teams' actual Pantones.  The graphics Paul posted come from the teams' individual digital files, which are a RGB version for computers and don't always look like the on-field product.   That's why Colorwerx does what he does.

I suspect this "change" is more about trying to get the digital files to line up with the helmets and jerseys than an actual color change.

I can't help but think they're leaning towards navy and white permanently when they do change uniforms rather than yellow. It makes no sense to make logo and color changes now only to make another in two years. What a mess that would be.

Not saying it's impossible that they could do that, only that it just doesn't make sense to. May as well keep the colors navy and gold until the 2019 change otherwise.

Now, I don't think navy and white would be bad necessarily - that fearsome foursome uniform is a beauty - but the fans who finally got their team back clearly want blue and yellow. This is especially a situation where when the fans speak, you should listen.

Try telling the San diego Padres that

The fans clearly want yellow in the Rams color scheme, doesn't make any sense.

Honestly? I don't think this is a sign of anything long-term. The Rams are stuck in the navy, old gold, and white uniforms until 2019. The LA faithful obviously don't care for that scheme, but there is some attachment to the blue and white look. So the team is downplaying the old gold in their identity until it's time to ditch it completely.

Much ado about nothing.

but the logo appears on the sleeves right?  Does "permission to update the logo" = a change to the sleeve patch?  If not, it implies that the navy/gold ram head logo must be a secondary - which would be dumb.  Actually this whole thing is dumb.  They either have two colorways of the same logo as primary and secondary, or a primary that doesn't go with the uniforms (and would appear on said uniforms that it doesn't match.)

The best thing would be to compromise with the league and recolor the existing uniforms to either drop the gold or recolor it to yellow.  Then proceed with planned overhaul in 2019.

totally get wanting to make a big splash in the new stadium in '19, but this is different than most situations.  THe Rams need to do everything they can to reclaim / rebuild / maintain their fanbase.  Otherwise, come 2019 they'll be making a splash in front of 1,500 people.

Rams have to have some third color mixed in even as an accent.

The Colts blue and white should have precedence especially since I don't believe any of the 32 teams share color schemes as is.

The red white blue teams mix in grey or silver to different themselves for example.

I wish the "O" in the "Detroit" wordmark matched the "O" in the "Lions" wordmark... ?

Don't be unreasonable. Nike spends too much time making space age fabrics (that can't be green) to focus on details like that!

Is it just me or did the nflshop.com just switch over to a "Fantatics Experience"? Has it been this way for a while?

They got NHL and MLB too. I believe they will make NHL replica jerseys too. They destroyed the MLB shop. As a hat guy, I loved clicking on each team and browsing a multitude of MiLB hats for sale, but now they have like 10 hats that are leftover stock.

Yes, its an F. The original was an F. Why should we drop 51 years of a stylized F? If we made it a 3/4 view we'd look just like the old Eagles logo. If we did just the head we'd look like the ugly child of the Ravens and Cards. It works for us and there's no reason to change it. Beyond that, we just made the wings pattern part of our new stadium section design in the open east end. So sorry y'all but you're stuck with it. Change the jerseys but the logo is staying.

Yes.  I love the current logo...much better than the bland original.  But the uniforms...never have like them and now they just look dated.

I think the piping and uneven stripes makes the current look already outdated.  I'd go with the 2016 worn throwbacks, but a red helmet instead.  Could pull it off with either logo.  Road white jersey (red numbers), and road red pants with classic black and white stripes.  Add an alternate red jersey, and maybe a third set of black road pants with classic red/white stripes.  No need for silver pants.  No colored sleeves.  Win the SB and make the change please.

Red helmet and current logo and this would be fantastic.  Only change I might make is to make the stripes a tad wider and the number outline a little thicker, but neither by much.

One small change I'd make on top of that is a single red sleeve stripe.
