WSU151 Posted July 27, 2017 Share Posted July 27, 2017 So for a while I thought I'd figured out that the Giants were going to change their Color Rush helmets based on Riddell discontinuing the retail sale of last year's Color Rush helmet...after all, having the "Giants" decal seems like a great thing in 2016 to honor the '86 team. And I assumed the 2017 CR helmet would just be the normal Giants' NY helmet with a white facemask. But Phil Hecken posted this from the Giants on Tuesday...and they're sticking with the GIANTS decal. Pushing white into Color Rush was one thing, but not matching the jersey to the pants seems like a dealbreaker... which is more blasphemous - navy pants or a silver grey jersey? aawagner011 Posted July 28, 2017 Share Posted July 28, 2017 Pretty sure I read something that claimed the Giants only had one single TNF game (Thanksgiving) and it wasn't deemed Color Rush by the league, so they were permitted to wear their Color Rush any time after week five.
