There will be a drop-off at some point in the season; it's just a matter of how significant, how the team pulls out of it, and how many players get injured the rest of the way. This team is way more fun and successful than I ever thought it would be. The people laying down at 7:1 for Vegas' sudden Stanley Cup favorites are suckers of the highest order. Yeah I would not put money on this team to win it all. That's putting the cart way before the horse. I'm just hoping they win a playoff round, but not even thinking about that right now. Just enjoying the ride. I think once the streak ends and once the schedule starts to bunch up a bit more then Tortorella will pull back more. I don't think he really cares about the streak and I think the players just started to care when they beat Minnesota. He's got them playing at a good pace and he's riding Bobrovsky hard. I think we'll start to see more of McElhinney in the second half. But what's really funny to me is according to the Lamberts of the world this is all "luck"* when for 15 years they had no luck and bad luck. If all it is is good luck then I'll gladly take it because we are way overdue for some good luck. *Ever since Lambert said we were too poorly educated to grasp something as advanced as high shooting percentage they literally haven't lost.
