GFB Posted December 12, 2016 Share Posted December 12, 2016 If we're going to limit it to primary logos, then for me it's this logo: The team name is ok, the colors are great, and the uniforms used to be modern classics. hockey week Posted December 12, 2016 Share Posted December 12, 2016 I think a lot of this has to be weighted if you're having an overall list. People have already said that crests should count more than shoulder logos, and I agree. I think more weight has to be put on newer logos as well, because 1) a lot less attention was paid to branding back then, 2) a lot of logos get mistranslated over time like those Hamilton logos, 3) we should know better because we've seen the work of the past. There also should be more weight if it was merely a third jersey, and even more weight if it was for a very short time (as in, the Burger King should be counted less than the Mooterus should be counted less than Bruins' crackbear should be counted less than the Buffaslug) So, I think some organization and perspective needs to be applied. It's the OKC Thunder of the NHL. The backwards flag to make the weird 'C" shape, the beveled star, the double outline on everything, is all so, so wrong.
