In fact, what I've always wanted is a scarlet versus blue game... Someday... These jerseys might not suck, we'll see. From seeing it up close and personal, I genuinely feel that at least part of the tributes (which I agree do go too far and sometimes feel a bit hollow) are in large part because they do feel a genuine sense of loss when it comes to Pat Tillman. ASU football doesn't put out quite the names that other schools do, but Tillman was always kinda "their" guy. He wasn't just some random lineman who played for awhile and was KIA, he was a guy who would've probably been a Ring of Honor guy regardless of his military service. It's not a perfect comparison, of course, but it would be similar to if Florida lost a guy like Tebow (Not in the sense that he had that kind of success, but in the sense that he's sort of the face of that program). I could be wrong, of course, but I never got the sense that the tributes to Tillman were as manufactured as they're made out to be.
