This is basically another season of who will stop the Patriots?  Oakland would've been a great bet if Carr didn't get his leg ripped off.

Thinking Green Bay slimes their way into the title game and gets creamed by the Patriots.

Truth be told, it'll be a hard road for the Patriots. I see them colliding with either Pittsburgh or Kansas City in the playoffs and not being the team to come out of the AFC.

Kansas City has been as good as anyone this season. However, they haven't had an Andy Reid game yet. You know it's coming. They should have had it already to get it out of the way.

The good Seattle team can beat anyone. The :censored:ty Seattle team might lose in the first round.

While not clock management, they have had a bonehead Andy move. Ol' Andy iced the Titans kicker, only for him to miss the attempt that didn't count, yet he made the one that sure counted.

Usually I'm waiting for the conference title games to see real fireworks.  Not this season.  The wild card & divisional rounds ought to be ridiculous, & I like that.

Save for the Patriots of course who should win a ticket to Houston for the SB, & have no one to blame but themselves if they don't.

I respect the Chiefs, & yet Andy Reid is still Andy Reid.  As for Derek Carr, while this takes fire out of the Raiders, he'll be smashing tables next season - chips on shoulders of great players helps everyone.

NFC should be a brawl every weekend, & hopefully the winner there is beaten down enough that the Patriots can finally comfortably win a SB - I'm not holding my breath on that one.

It'll be a massive upset if New England doesn't come out of the AFC. I don't see how they lose to anyone at Gillette Stadium. If they had to go on the road to Pittsburgh or Kansas City, I think they'd lose, but unfortunately that isn't happening.

My only hope for having a Patriot-less Super Bowl is that because New England has played the weakest schedule of any team in the playoffs (in both SOS and SOV) and lost to the one really good team they played, they might not be has good as everyone thinks they are.

I'm going to be honest here, and maybe a bit biased (okay, more than a bit), if the Cowboys don't commit self-inflecting errors (unforced turnovers, pre-snap and terribly timed penalties, dropped passes and the like), I don't think there is a team in the NFC that can beat them.

However, there is only one team I'm a bit hesitant to see the Cowboys play and that's Atlanta. They're the only team with an offense scary enough to beat Dallas in a shootout.

Cowboys - Lakers - LAFC - USMNT - LA Rams - LA Kings - NUFC

It still blows my mind (actually, it doesn't) that the Lions could finish as high as 2 or miss the playoffs altogether.

Anyways, I don't us beating Green Bay. I'm praying to the football Gods that the Giants play most of their starters and do just enough to beat the Skins, giving the Lions the wildcard.

Wow Houston couldn't win with 2 chances at the playoffs this year, it's understandable though I would be pretty beat up in the second game in two days. (I know you meant Miami for one of the games)

Lol- good catch.

And, both my gut and head tell me the Pats will once again get to at least the AFC Finals, but I'd like to see something different.

Pittsburgh cannot lay an egg against Miami for the second time this year. If we get past them, assuming Oakland wins the west, I would feel pretty good about our chances to reach the AFC Championship. Of course beating New England is an entirely different beast.

If I were a betting man and givin his history, I'd bet on Eli Manning and the New York Football Giants to win the Super Bowl or at least I'm not counting them out until they're walking off the field with an L, much like the even year San Francisco Giants thinking.

I haven't watched much football this year, but I'm hoping for a NE/SEA rematch.  I think sports are better when there's dominant teams, and I want to be able to tell my future someone else's kids that I saw the greatest team (or at least player/coach) EVAH win 6 SBs.

Also there's just something about the seahawks that I love.  Maybe it's the personalities on the team, maybe it's Pete Carroll, maybe it's the stadium, maybe it's the uniforms and the neon, I don't know - I just know that I like them being good.

I don't mind short-run dynasties. The Cowboys, Broncos and Bulls of the 90s, the Yankees and Red Wings of the 90s/early 2000s, and even the early 2000s Patriots were fun in their own ways. The problem is those other teams had the decency to bottom out (or at least miss the playoffs some times). The Pats, however, have won their damn division every year but two since 2001.

This Patriots run hasn't been seen since, I don't know, the Boston Celtics when there were just six teams. It's an unprecedented run, and sucks if you root for a team they whip twice a year (Bills) or in the Super Bowl (Hawks). Plus they're dirty cheaters, and they even beat their punishment. They're so frustrating. Plus Bill Simmons is an ass about them. Plus Belichick's politics.

Dallas is a fraud. There's no way Jason Garrett's gonna get them a Lombardi, I mean that's laughable. As far as Prescott goes, bigger stage, brighter lights, and a Bill Belichick led Patriots team that can make any rookie QB look like Brandon Weeden. He will pull a tony romo if put in a difficult position, without a doubt.

As was said above, this is another season of who can stop the now totally healthy Patriots. The only two teams who have a moderate or better chance of beating them are Pitt and KC. The Same Chiefs team, save Tyreek Hill, played the Pats in Foxboro last year and lost, not handily, but lost. The only way they beat NE is if Andy Reid makes no mistakes and Smith picks apart the Pats weak but improving Zone Defense. Pittsburgh is a much bigger threat, especially considering the Pats beat a Steelers team with Landry Jones at the helm. A couple of deep beauties to AB could kill the Patriots, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was a shootout with a relatively close ending. But when push comes to shove, this is a Patriots team that won their first game in Denver in years. This is a Patriots team that has a superstar in every offensive position. This is a Patriots team that has a now sparkling offensive line in front of the return of venerable O-line coach Dante Scarnecchia. This is a Patriots team that has made the AFC Championship in each of the last five years. Tom Brady, the greatest QB of all time, will hoist his fifth Lombardi in February, unless the Patriots beat themselves, which they have done on occasion in the past (*cough* both Giants Super Bowls).

I see a rematch of XLVI happening this year, and I can't unsee it. I think the Packers and Seahawks will duke it out in late January, with the Legion of Boom falling to the most hated team in America in SB51. A slightly less heart-thumping ending, 30-24.
