The teams have been responsible for unveiling their away jerseys not the league

Typical NHL.  In any other league these would have been all released at the same time.

You don't reember the 50ish pages we added that night? I know they were just the homes but yes, the NHL did their thing

Sweater? Like Christmas? It's an Adizero new lightweight, cooler, stronger technology. Decreasing crest weight by 46%, number weight by up to 60%. Featuring Adidas Clima technology to maximize air circulation with materials that are 133% more permeable than current on ice fabrics, 27% stronger in burst testing, and 72% tougher on abrasion testing.

I think it gives credit to the idea that the color jerseys vastly outsell the white ones. They had a big unveiling for the home jerseys. White jerseys? Meh... whenever you get around to it.

The only team that hasn't released their away jersey I'm curious about is Nashville.  I have a feeling that they might switch the yellow and blue to match the socks on last year's design.  With the other teams, it's probably going to be the same as last year except for any changes like Ottawa's number font, which is probably why they haven't bother to release them yet.  Edmonton will be in the new colours.

No no it is a uniform, if you're referring to the helmets, sweater, socks, pants, etc. The shirt itself is a sweater.

Some interesting information I happened upon over at hfboards' Devils board.  Someone posted this information on what's going on with them...  They found this on Reddit, so take if for what it's worth.

I know an individual who does this kind of work. Deals with image rehabilitation, crisis management etc. basically they devise strategies to help individuals or companies navigate the waters of bad PR. I am a Canucks fan living in NY with no dog in the fight. There was a Devils staffing that just came through. It is under a code name. It is uniform related. Here is basically what I was told.

*Devils absolutely stunned at reaction. Paralyzed with rhetoric and disgust of fans and mobilization.

*NHL front office people refer to Devils and fans as an O7 team. Meaning they are similar in mentality to fans of those teams. Very protective of brand and image. Satisfied with it. NHL told Devils of risks of changing it but they did it anyway

*Devils will be allowed to abort and use old jerseys this year due to response. Drop dead date sometime in August. Devils want to see how and if new sells. If it does not they will develop saving face plan. Claim manufacturing and replication issues in new designs was issue not response.

*Individual in org who is strong supporter wants full year to see if people warm up to it. Was driving force behind changes. Wanted even more changes but old regime holdovers talked him down. This individual is not one of owners but high ranking.

*Devils telling staff not to engage in back in forth with fans on social media regarding comments on any jersey related posts. Just say positive things and leave.

EDIT:  Another post in the same thread referred to a podcast about speaking about the new uniforms and that Adidas asked the Devils if there were main design elements that were MUST HAVES and the only parts they were told were logo and shoulders.

to me, it makes sense.  After reading this I thought back to the Devils' release images with the explanations for different elements of the new uniform, and it gave me the impression that someone at Adidas, maybe without much of a sense of the Devils organization looked at Wikipedia for the history of the franchise and pulled those random elements they point out.  So yeah, the Scouts moved to become the Rockies who moved to become the Devils, but really, the Devils are their own organization and perhaps until recently, never really associated with the Scouts or Rockies as part of their history.  Maybe that's just me though.

I find that to be very unlikely they will abort to the old jerseys style. If they do that there will be tons of dead stock that won't be sold. Also adidas will need to create a whole new inventory for them from scratch in a much tighter time frame. I don't see the NHL allowing a change without a massive fine to make up for the money they are losing from this.

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

I highly doubt the Devils will wear old Reebok jerseys, or old jerseys with adidas on them.

Also, "supporter that wants full year" doesn't make sense.  Any change made just after the 17-18 season won't be available for 18-19 season.  So if there is a change, there will be two years of the new Devils jerseys.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.
