Sorry for the hiatus but I finally completed Bakersfield. Thanks for being patient.

CSU BAKERSFIELD ROADRUNNERS

Had trouble coming up with a design but I think this is unique enough to just work

 

DESIGN: -A stripe that replicates a road. Get it ROADrunners

 

HELMET: -Blue and gold helmet

                -Stripe on each helmet

                -Both helmets have the option of a roadrunner body logo, the roadrunner head logo, and the B logo they use on the baseball helmets.

 

JERSEY: -Blue and white jersey

               -Stripe on shoulder cap

               -"RUNNERS" text on both jerseys because it is unique, they use the term runners, and I didn't want "CSUB" on a jersey while Santa Barbara has "UCSB" on their jerseys

 

PANTS: -Gold, white, and blue pants

             -Stripe on each 

 

Thanks for looking guys and I'm sorry this came out so late compared to other ones. Hopefully I can get these out faster.

Here are my thoughts on CSUB:

 

As far as number font, why not use Handel Gothic?

This font looks similar to the wordmark. (Unless you can find the exact one, then why not go with that?)

 

The "road" stripes, I could take 'em or leave 'em. I feel like they're a bit too literal, but that's not the worst thing in the world. The striping pattern is unique enough and they could own it.

 

The rest of the set is great. I randomly thought it'd be a neat idea to take the "hair" on the top of the roadrunner logo's head and put those in the front of a blue helmet, so as to appear like the players have those feathers. It looks good in my head, but may look terrible in a visual.

 

Anyway, this whole series has been f***ing awesome!

Thanks for finding the font because I couldn't find it in my library of fonts. Here's the uniforms with the new number fonts.

DESIGN: -Changed the the primary logo and all logos by eliminating gray.

               -Used the pattern from the shield for the stripe

                -Changed the UNCG Shield and G shield by de-italicizing both. FYI italicized logos don't look good on a football helmet. Spartan logo on the other helmet 

                -North Carolina flag and USA flag on back

                  -Number font from the basketball uniforms

That'd be an interesting one. They did have football until 2008, and the school has undergone a rebrand since then.

Thanks! I have thought about non D-1 schools but I just haven't got around to do any. Maybe I will in the future.

This one was tough because it kind of is a new school so there was no design that stood out for this school and I couldn't find anything from the Rio Grande Valley that stood out to me. But the beveling and the star screams Texas to me. 

 

Another reason this was tough was because of the different colors. I like the orange and blue but the school uses green more than blue. But I think the way I distributed the color scheme works.

 

Last thing: ALL THESE COMBINATIONS WOULD NOT BE WORN. I just wanted to see what each element would look like.

 

DESIGN: -Beveled stripe modeled after the wordmark

               -Star creates a hole in the stripe. Star from the star in the V

               -Same color orange stripe for green, blue and white background. Different colored stripe for orange background

 

HELMET: -Orange, blue and green satin helmets

                -Stripes have the star on the top of the helmet. If you were to watch a game, the star would stand out on the top.

                -V logo, RGV/Texas logo, and vaquero logo on each color

 

JERSEY: -I wanted all the colors accounted for so 2 alternate jerseys here.

               -Stripe on shoulder cap

               -"Sharp" number font that resembles the wordmark

 

PANTS: -Orange, green, blue and white pants

             -Stripe on each

For the star in the stripe, I think it would look really good if it popped a little more. I think making the star itself a different color than the stripes itself and the background would do just that. A blue star on the white pants, white star on the green, etc.

Thanks! The big problem I had was putting the combinations together so I'm really glad you like them.

When I first created the stripe I did make the star a different color.  Now it was green for the orange color stripe so I dropped it because it got lost on the green and blue background. But if I change it to white, like you suggested, it'll probably stand out more. I don't have my computer for this weekend but I will definitely get to it on Monday. Thanks for the comments!

That's really terrific. You rightly made orange the main color and made green and blue co-secondaries. That's hard to do since they don't usually work well together but do here.

CSU Bakersfield: Really like the road pattern on the pants and sleeve, really creative way to incorporate the roadrunners nickname

 

UNC - Greensboro: Great set, using the pattern from the logo for the striping is brilliant

 

UTRGV: Holy Combos Batman, This is one of my favorite sets you have come up with, I like the idea of the star in the striping but I agree with @Clintau24 on changing the color to make it pop a little bit more.
