YessSir32
Grabbed a screenshot from Lions' video on stadium upgrades. I'm sure it's nothing, but look at the uniforms on the left. The home & away sets appear to have no black, but that Black/Black/Grey uniform?? Link to video if anyone else can catch something: http://www.detroitlions.com/media-center/videos/New-Ford-Field-renovation-plans-revealed/7d3ef6c7-4770-496d-bc45-ca067043db65 Detroit Falcons (NABL) | Detroit Gears (UFL)
aawagner011
Don't read into it. Just a concept they lifted from the interwebs and pasted in the background. Recognized it the second I saw it. I remember someone did a bunch of NFL concepts and used that same shot of AP for all of them.

Navy/navy/"wolf" grey. And why is that guy so much bigger than the other two? He's massive. Nike is obsessed with dressing teams in gray/anthricate I don't think that would be a bad thing at all: Now, if they really wanted to push it, they could work in Anthracite + Steel Grey - with a brighter Honolulu Blue, it'd be pretty electric: Tennessee's Smoky Mountain unis are incredible. I designed the black lions uniform a couple years ago on this forum as a concept. I'm sure the size is just a scaling issue (current architectural intern haha)
Red Wolf
I was totally fine with the use of black in Detroit's uniforms. But I also really like the old uniforms that were just blue, silver, and white. So, I'm good either way on those. Hopefully we don't get anything that pretends to be classic but then has wacky nickname pants like what happened with the fellow Super Bowl absentee Browns. I've been a big fan of that Colorado helmet. It has a bit of a satin sheen to it. Reminds me of this Ohio State helmet. If the Lions were to adopt something like this with a slightly darker gray pants like Colorado (considering their current pants aren't silver, they are a very light gray), I think that could be an awesome look. Except with the NFL's one helmet rule, if they went with the dark gray uniforms they would either have to go with dark gray helmets all the time or mismatched uniforms and helmet. I'm not sure what you're saying. I mentioned the Lions switching to the helmet finish Colorado and OSU have in those pictures. Perhaps adopt gray pants like the Colorado color (compared to the Lions currently very light gray pants). Keep the Honolulu blue jersey, add some white and gray trim, no black...would look great. Would harken back to the old Lions uniforms by reverting to the classic colors but also push the design forward with different helmet finishes and a slightly darker gray pant than they currently wear. BJ Sands
I'd be more excited about this if Nike were able to produce shiny silver pants.

hawk36
I think of all teams, one in Detroit, owned by Ford, could do a chrome helmet. Would be one of the few teams where it makes sense. Design Hovie Studios
FiddySicks
I think that'd make more sense if the Lions weren't one of the oldest franchises in the league. I mean, Cleveland already cornered the market on "We're old and storied but never win, so let's change it up", and look what we ended up with. No thanks.
