hettinger_rl
Indiana has had a bulldog, bison, and an ox as a mascot identity. Rather than fall in with one of the most populous mascots I chose to go with the ox (I've done a lot of bison work too) .
cubsfan2015
I'm amazed they have a bull as a mascot, especially coming from Indiana. It's a good concept, especially integrating the "I" into the bull's forehead. Now I hope they bring back the bull.
MJWalker45
Probably a tie-in to the name Hoosiers which ,based on one legend, came from neighbors on nearby farms shouting, "Who's there?" Due to distance and such it came to the listeners ears as "Hoosiers!!!"

I think instead of bull I should've said Ox, their bulldog mascot was named Ox so that may make sense. They also used a bison at one time. 1 minute ago, MJWalker45 said: Probably a tie-in to the name Hoosiers which ,based on one legend, came from neighbors on nearby farms shouting, "Who's there?" hettinger_rl
I found this great pictorial on IU's MASCOT GRAVEYARD.

joshhockey
This is very clean and very well done. The "hidden I" is a nice touch. The only suggest is maybe to make the shading on the horns asymmetrical?
bucknut42
Geez hettinger, I still haven't seen a bad concept from you. Phenomenal work on the logo, it looks really clean and professional and it would work well for IU. Great work here just like all of your other stuff. And I got a neat history lesson from it too! WavePunter
You sneaky devil! I did notice it, but thought it was just a subtle U for "IU" , but I didn't notice the shape of each side until you mentioned it.. Well done!
NoE38_Concepts
This is the most flawlessly executed logo with hidden meanings inside of it that I have ever seen! Great work. @noe38concepts (Instagram - Twitter)
