The 2018 NBA All-Star Game logo was unveiled earlier tonight.

Probably just my computer (99% probability), but it seems those Clippers colors are just a tad different than what they wear.  Looks like a lighter blue, and a pinker/rosier red.

Anyone else see this parallel?

When I first saw the logo it reminded me of a Frank Gehry building. I guess it achieved it's purpose.

Strange decision though, with all the landmarks in LA they picked that?

To be clear, I don't know for certain that's the case (that comma at the end of the tweet was supposed to be a question mark), but it certainly has similarities.

My first thought was actually the Staples Center roof line...

Though now that logo looks like a guitar pick piercing some day old toothpaste.

Can't unsee it now. I think it looks more like an arrowhead than a guitar pick, though.

This is some abstract, bland, garbage. I can see a relationship to the Walt Disney Concert Hall, but I still don't like it.

What I do like is the wordmark. It's a solid font, imo.

Or it's nostalgic because it seems the All-Star Game is in California every third year (with New Orleans or Houston the rest of the time).
