edjb93
BAYLOR I like Baylor's current uniforms, and so, my concept set for the Bears is a tweak of what they have now. The sleeves and the bear paw print is now in contrasting colors, and the pant striping has been removed. As requested by some people in this forum, I created a neon uniform. Although I did like the idea of wearing neon from helmet to socks, I thought that it's too much, and so, I retained the green helmets but changed the BU logo, and I made the socks green. edjb93
IOWA STATE This set was inspired by mbannon92's concept and the Cyclones' current uniforms. Basically, it's a mash-up of the two. Gold facemasks come in, because they're much better than the grey facemasks, IMO. edjb93
KANSAS This may be an unpopular opinion, but I decided to keep Trajan as the Jayhawks' number font. This is the only fancy feature on the concept uniforms, as the rest is much conservative: regular-sized Jayhawk logo, classical striping on pants, cuffs, and collar, and only one helmet. edjb93
KANSAS STATE As long as Bill Snyder is the coach, there may be no changes with the uniforms (with the exception of purple pants which were worn outside Bill Snyder's tenures). And so, there will be minor changes to the overall uniform design, but here's the plot twist: more combos will be implemented on my concept set, as I added a silver jersey (to be paired with purple pants only) and a black jersey (to be paired with silver pants only). I took the inspiration from the Wildcats' men's basketball team, because they tend to have more than two options on what will they wear on game day. CHAOS-KING
Great job on these! 9.5/10 on the ACC, 10/10 on the Big 10. Keep it up! With Baylor, could you add a neon green set similar to their basketball unis, probably to be used against TCU or Texas?
RedfieldNick
One thing, K-State only wore purple pants in the Ron prince era (which we do not like to talk about), so that may not tide over well. I'd also only use one of the alternates (probably the black one). But I like that you updated the font, and kept the classic striping. Welcome to Kansas, where you can see your future, literally. edjb93
OKLAHOMA My Sooners football concept uniform set is a blend of two uniform eras: the Northwestern-stripe era and the current era. I also added a white alternate helmet and red alternate pants to be worn with white jerseys only. Home 1: Home 2: Road 1: Road 2: Road 3:
edjb93
OKLAHOMA STATE The Cowboys' new duds are really awesome, but it's really hard to re-create them in Paint. Actually, I created these uniforms way before their current uniforms were unveiled. Of course, this set was inspired by their regular Pro Combat uniforms. I changed their number font to their logo-based font (the difference is that it's not italicized here). I eliminated any trace of silver in this set. edjb93
TCU This TCU set was heavily influenced by the uniforms worn by Trevone Boykin during his early college playing days. The frogskin pattern is now limited to the sleeves and pants and helmet striping. edjb93
For those who are following my series, I edited my Baylor post, so that I can include the ever-requested neon uniforms. Thanks, everyone!
edjb93
TEXAS The Longhorns' set is one of the untouchable classics in all college football uniforms. But for my concept, I added some modifications. First, the sleeve stripes are now enlarged. Second, there is now an alternate burnt orange pants to be worn with white jerseys only. This is a homage to their old mascot logo in football gear. And finally, there is now a black alternate jersey to be worn only once or twice. This one was inspired by their practice jerseys which, in fact, has a lot of black in them. Home: Road 1: Road 2: Alternate:
edjb93
TEXAS TECH Why mess around with uniforms that are already on fleek? I just decided to retain their current uniforms, with some minor changes (removal of the "Guns Up" wordmark on the pants and recoloring "Texas Tech" on the road whites. edjb93
WEST VIRGINIA This is an another unpopular opinion: I like the addition of black to WVU's blue uniforms. This concept set was inspired by their current uniforms (sans contrasting side panels on the jersey tops) and their 2010 Pro Combat one-offs. Most of the striping were taken from the narrow gap between W and V in the Mountaineers' athletics logo. bucknut42
These are absolutely amazing jerseys. I love all these concepts but my only gripe is the black with West Virginia. I've never understood why Nike adds black to schools that have navy blue as a main color. Black and navy blue don't really match, so it's puzzling to me why Nike puts teams in black when navy is a color (Butler, Gonzaga, Xavier basketball jerseys). Otherwise, these sets are all amazing. edjb93
CALIFORNIA I was not disappointed on Nike's overhaul of Cal's uniforms. They look great. But since Under Armour will be taking over Cal's athletic apparel, I think that this concept set should be what UA will do. This is a modified version of their current Nike duds (no more sublimated bear logo on sleeves).
