Mike Schmidt's last season, 1989, was the first year since 1972 that the Phillies had a gray road uniform.

The Detroit Lions longtime center Dominic Raiola spent his first two campaigns wearing the black-less Lions getup. He's more associated with the black-trimmed Lions.

Why did every lego basketball player have to look like Shelden Williams?😂

A better question is why does Shelden Williams look like Ken Griffrey Jr. suffering from gigantism?

I think he just saw his Lego self here...either that, or he's upset the uniforms have lost their red trim.

How different was that Bengals set from the one preceding it? Because it looks pretty similar. This could just be because it isn't as drastic a difference as the 1981 set made.

I think the biggest difference is that the 1980 set had TV numbers and the set that preceded them didn't.  Also black facemasks.  The older set had grey facemasks.

Okay, that's fair. It's interesting that in that picture they're playing against the team they would beat for the AFC championship the next season.

Linebacker Darryl Talley was a regular for the Bills during the Superbowl years.  His rookie year was 1983, the year before the Bills switched to the red helmets.

I think they only had that one year with the black facemasks and "BENGALS" logo

Correct.  The following year (1981) they switched to the striped helmets.
