I miss the black.

In the same vein, but going the other way, here's Brad Richards in an Edge jersey.

Also, though there really is no "wrong" uniform because he wore them all, I forgot he wore this one:

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

- It may be video, but check out Dave Concepcion, in his last playing year of 1988, wearing the tweaked version of the Reds' double-knit pullover jersey/beltless pants combo (with the stripes down the pants, white outlines on the graphics, and three stripes, not two, on the sleeve cuffs) - and pulling a Lou Pinella in this video! :D

Notorious Mavericks star Roy Tarpley in the 1992-2001 uniforms (he played most of his career in the 1981-92 set).

For reference, these were his outfits from before his first ban.

It's really strange to see him around the NBA in the mid-'90s, given his tumultuous personal life and limited playing time.

Kevin Stevens had multiple 100 point seasons and was a beloved part of the Pens Stanley Cup teams in the early 90s, and even played a few years in the robopenguin/gin n juice jerseys before being traded. Most people don't remember his late-career "vegas gold" stint with the team.

Part of me thinks he doesn’t remember it either. The dude’s history with drugs is a pretty tragic one, all starting from this:

It shattered most of his facial bones, forcing surgeons to reconstruct his face with metal plates. Prescription painkiller addiction soon followed for the poor guy, culminating in him getting busted in a St. Louis area motel with crack.

Crime in Sports had a fantastic episode on him.

More shots of Seaver in uniforms that he never wore in a Major League game.

Here he is posing in the jersey that the Mets brought in for the 1978 season, the year after he was traded, and wore through 1982. The photo is from the spring of 1983, soon before the beginning of his second stint with the team. The Mets would debut their home racing-stripe uniforms that season, having brought in the racing stripe on the road the previous year. But they did not reveal the new home uniform until Opening Day.

A 1987 picture showing Seaver in the road uniform that the Mets wore for only that year. Seaver attempted a comeback that season, and started a game against the Mets' AAA affiliate at Tidewater.

Seaver later threw two simulated games before abandoning the comeback attempt. So the photo above is from his last professional appearance.

In the last two seasons of Tom Wilkinson's career, the Edmonton CFL team slightly changed up their uniform, adding an extra stripe and superimposing the EE monogram on the sleeves, and changing the facemasks to white. This is more of his uniform:

Notice the differences, despite the lower photo being in black and white?

Along the same lines, Cam Fowler with Anaheim's original Reebok jerseys.

Fowler played a couple seasons in those uniforms, Ellis only played one preseason.
