Albert coming back to St. Louis for one last season puts him in this category. 

 

 

I searched for over 15 minutes for a picture of him in the cream "St. Louis" alt, but couldn't find any.

This one's a case of both, wrong uniform, and wrong conference 

And then this isn't the "right team" necessarily, but I do think people remember Jason Kidd as a Sun, but I don't think most associate the 7SOL look with him, or him having his shaved head New Jersey look in PHX.

The first year the Pens had this as their third jersey was his last year in Pittsburgh, and it was hard to even find a photo of him playing in it.

 

EDIT: It's a shame that jersey is largely associated with one of the worst periods in Penguins history because, now that it's been gone for almost 16 years, I'm starting to realize how cool it actually was.

I agree.  The Vegas gold looked great on this set. Even better in person.  When EDGE took over the gold looked like khaki. The robo-penguin looks great on the shoulder.

Ironically, I think LeBron is the only player who looks, relatively speaking, Right, in a sleeved jersey. And only after he cut the sleeves, lol. Even on other 2016 Cavs it looks bizzare, and that's without the even worse designs in 2014.

I found out that Chipper Jones wore a double flap helmet in a regular season MLB game while wearing #16, which he only wore for 8 games in 1993. 

The funniest thing is that the helmet belonged to Ramón Caraballo, who didn't get a single PA with the Braves.
