Appreciate greatness while its here

That's my message to people who complain about LeBron.

There's Jordan, Kareem and LeBron. It's fortunate we get to watch him now, still at his peak. There's never been a player like him before and may never be again.

What was that ish about the Raptors being good on defense and being able to give the Cavs a series?

116 and 125.  Maybe they'll play better at home, but just winning home games won't do them any good.

Same here... Might I add, wasn't it said that Cleveland can't play defense?

I mean, 103 and 105 aren't great defensive showings. But, who needs defense when LeBron and company can shoot lights out for 40 minutes?

Jazz are gonna be good for a long time. Heyward (pay him), Hill, Gobert and the others will be contending for a Finals spot in a few years. Don't let losing to the Dubs discourage you.

I'm not too sure about that even if Hayward resigns with them.

Only Gobert and Burks are signed through 2018-19 with Exum with a qualifying offer.  Diaw, IsoJoe are old; George Hill is 31 and mediocre and is George Hill. He missed 33 games this season.

LeBron getting all these shooters and firepower is unfair- it's like the Whopper going to McDonald's.

That already happened. Go back to the summer of 2016 in Oakland.

Can't say that wasn't unexpected. These two teams have been going at it all year and it finally came to a T.

Olinyk is clumsy at best, but Oubre was totally uncalled for with that shove. It was a typical hard foul, nothing egregious.

Olynk doesn't get any benefit of the doubt in the playoffs. Not after what he did to Kevin Love.

The Warriors sure like to bitch and mean mug. They're almost the Dream Team yet they still have a huge chip on their shoulder. It's not that fun to watch.

Are you the guy that hates the bay area because you couldn't get a job there and were priced out because it's too expensive to live there. A lot of teams mean mug. Take your I hate the bay area blinders off.

I suppose it's part of what keeps them consistently good. I'm sure if they win the Larry O'Brien, there will be at least one guy from the Warriors talking about how nobody believed in them and how they overcame so much adversity, etc. It's just one of those goofy things athletes do for whatever reason.

I will say, I prefer to have some teams who try to show off some and talk trash. It makes things more fun. And besides, when teams don't do that, they get called boring like the Spurs.

Remember when Stephen Jackson was on the Spurs and a key player? That went against type, for sure.

Also I don't think Tim Duncan gets enough credit for how animated he got (or didn't -- has any other player been T'd for laughing?).

That Stephen Jackson wasn't yet the Stephen Jackson as we would get to know him later with the Warriors though.

The thing I see with the Warriors is that they got historically good abnormally fast, and such a rapid rise like that has really gotten to thier heads. I'd always hoped it wouldn't because I've always wanted to like them, but there they've went. Even Steph's gone from cool-underdog-story-aw-shucks-kid to really smug in what seems like the blink of an eye.

I think we tend to forget that it was just a few seasons ago that this team was a middle-of-the-roader, and then BAM they suddenly won 60+ games and a title and then BAM they suddenly won 73 games and then BAM they're probably about to win another title and just maybe be dubbed the greatest team ever. Outside of team-stacking instances like the Celtics and Heat, I don't ever recall a team rapidly becoming historically great in such a short timeframe. Even the Bulls took a few seasons, as did the Showtime Lakers. It's all happened so fast and, in their honest defense, if I was on a team like that I might've let it all get to my head too. Such a fortune could've happened to any team, and it just so happened to be the Warriors.

It's an "it is what it is" sort of thing to me; they're really unlikeable to me now and drive me up a wall with their smugness, but I also understand that it all probably came with the territory of their circumstances. And at the very least, they can back most of their pomp and spectacle up as opposed to not.

I was watching the Spurs and Rockets the other night. I don't watch either team much, and this was the first time this postseason. I was really impressed with Tony Parker. The guy still plays on an elite PG level. Unreal. Then after he went down, I figured the Spurs were done, but it seemed like they went full speed ahead and just steamrolled the Rockets. The Spurs look good. Real good.

The only team I've ever heard of mean-mugging is Golden State.  Of course, that's because this thread is the first time I'd ever heard/seen the term.

The Warriors went from pretty much being this absolute joke of an afterthought, even in their home market (They still had a good fanbase despite that, but still), to having the greatest three year stretch any team has ever had. They're kinda like the Patriots, but at a faster clip. I kinda think it would be hard for anyone to really "adjust" to something like that. Especially when they are going to be those that hate regardless "how" you turn into that.

All I know is this team is fun as :censored: to watch, and I've enjoyed being able to turn them on TV just about every night and witness it. For all the hate Lebron gets (some justified, a LOT not), he's still a marvel to behold. Why can't people just sit back and enjoy it for what it is?
