If an NBA Game 7 falls down in the woods, but the Warriors and Cavs aren't in it, does it make a sound?

Depends if it's compelling.

This was compelling. Jazz-Clippers was not.

I consider this season a success for the C's. Getting to the Eastern Conference finals is a good accomplishment for this young team.

I know we have no shot at the O'Brien, but hopefully getting the #1 pick will ease some of the pain.

Part of me hopes Cleveland does sweep us. We can't win this series, I don't want to get my hopes up and have them crushed.

It's like Miami in 2012. I knew, or thought I knew, going in that we had no chance. Then they win the middle three games, suddenly they're up 3-2 and now I let myself believe that they can get to the finals and maybe get the championship that got away in 2010. Then we get LeBron'd in game 6 and outmuscled in game 7 and the series loss was 10x more painful than it should have been.

How shocked would you be if Boston beat the Cavs?

I would indeed be shocked but I would not be as shocked as I was when Cleveland upset Golden State last year.

The 2012 Celtics had championship pedigree. They had won a title and were runner up in another, and were a high seed in the playoffs pretty much every year. While they weren't as talented as Miami, they had the heart and mental fortitude to give the Heat all they could handle. The 2017 squad is very different, in that they're young and, for the most part, inexperienced. I held out hope that the C's would down the Heat, I have none entering this ECF.

Well... That first half should sufficiently piss everyone off even more.

Only his spirit and will to compete. A whole two points at the half!

It's funny how people are losing their minds over the Warriors. It's like they're the most evil team in the history of sports. It's the society of today I guess.

Get a grip people.

Get a grip people.

It's the society of always. The only difference between now and when the Bulls dominated is that we didn't have twitter, message boards, etc. for people to constantly and publicly vent.

I'm kind of just ready to get to Warriors vs. Cavs III. It's the series I've been expecting and looking forward to (barring a miracle run from Memphis) all year.

Goodness. The Dubs bench has been in the entire 4th, and they're up 41. What an absolute ass kicking.

I don't think the Warriors are the most evil team in the history of sports; that's clearly the New England Patriots (or some Russian hockey team I don't know).

And I also think you can't fight hyperbole with hyperbole.

...and this was supposed to be the more compelling conference championship series.

Forget any doubt if the NBA Finals will be Cleveland and Golden State.  The lone doubt is if both teams arrive to the NBA Finals "fo-fo-fo"......
