keithisgood 67 Posted May 11, 2017 Digitized concepts of the wordmark and the letterform Same basic typeface throughout, but some with a wishbone serif and some without. I'll probably do a uniform set once I get the home script sorted out.
HRC4 315 Posted May 11, 2017 2nd option is my favorite. Nice job.
keithisgood 67 Posted May 12, 2017 Found a script wordmark I'm happy with. The I looks like an I (not as much a J or a G) and it matches most of the shapes in the block typeface.
FlyingBuckeye7 118 Posted May 12, 2017 I don't think the C logo within the state looks good. It looks like you took Ohio and flipped it backwards.
jujubeans 82 Posted May 12, 2017 Agree that #2 is the best wordmark. I didn't even realize that was Ohio and was scratching my head what the extra lines were for.
keithisgood 67 Posted May 12, 2017 Agreed about the Ohio bit. Think I can make it work with a bit in the lower left? Or is it too much?
BenD 70 Posted May 12, 2017 Really digging the new Ohio logo and I'd say the second "Cleveland" wordmark is the strongest. Will there also be uniforms with these?

keithisgood 67 Posted May 12, 2017 Gonna do a script "Cleveland" and then its on to unis.

I apologize for not commenting before on this project, but I've enjoyed following the evolution of your wordmarks and logo. Excited to see how they look on some uniforms!

It's okay; I do my fair share of lurking here so it evens out.
raysox 2,568 Posted May 12, 2017 This is one of the better Tribe concepts I've seen. I would make the outline a little thicker, personally. Seems sort of like an afterthought now. I also would go to the thinner, taller LEVELAND script, on a jersey the one right above might be too wide to be big enough to be legible.
FlyingBuckeye7 118 Posted May 12, 2017 New Ohio logo is 50x better!
keithisgood 67 Posted May 13, 2017 2 Cleveland scripts, not sure which C to go with (or maybe scrap both and try another?) The more complex C is based of the Cleveland Naps and the plainer one the negro league's Cleveland Buckeyes. Also worried its not quite legible?
coco1997 3,727 Posted May 13, 2017 I'd go with the second option. The "C" in the first version is a little too flowery.
MJD7 3,394 Posted May 13, 2017 This is really nice! I love the way you managed to combine elements of all of Cleveland's past Cs, not to mention including the great Ohio logo. It all meshes very well, which I didn't know could be done. As for the wordmarks, I still like the ones that incorporate the C logo, particularly these two. This is great so far, and I'm interested to see how it develops!
AHcreative 505 Posted May 13, 2017 I really like the idea behind the 'C' Ohio. Maybe in that empty space at the top left you could fit in a feather instead of a baseball or star.
keithisgood 67 Posted May 13, 2017 Quick n' dirty home uni concept. Note Cream replaces white. Design based on the great CLE teams of the 1990. Not sure about the name/number typeface on back; may go custom.
coco1997 3,727 Posted May 13, 2017 Very nice! Try arching the NOB. I'd fill in the cream of the sleeve patch with navy, too.
