Victormrey 1,753 Posted May 22, 2017 In this thread you can post a pic of that MLB stadium which, in your opinion, has the best backdrop. For me it's PNC Park: The Roberto Clemente Bridge over the Allegheny River along with the skyscrapers (specially the Fifth Avenue Place) create an unique view.

FiddySicks 11,203 Posted May 22, 2017 Pittsburgh is right at the very top of the list on parks I want to visit. But, I just can't imagine it topping the view from AT&T Park.

Was there about a year ago, and you can see those views from almost all of the upper deck, and a lot of the lower deck as well: Been to AT&T in San Francisco, and while the proximity to the Bay is a nice feature, the thing is you only really see it from the upper deck, mostly home plate and right field side. Upper deck left field side get a nice view of McCovey Cove and towards the south end of the bay, but that's it.. . the beautiful and impressive San Fran skyline is BEHIND the seats. We sat in good seats in the lower part of left field-- great for watching the game, but that was it. Safeco in Seattle has a nice view of downtown from the right field side-- particularly the upper deck right field: But actually the best views are from the upper deck left field outdoor concourse, which has great views of the skyline, Puget Sound, and ( on a clear day) the Olympic Mountains to the west:
Sykotyk 954 Posted May 22, 2017 I'll give the nod to PNC. Even down low, the bridge just dominates your field of vision the way the warehouse does at Camden (though I still have never been there). Stadiums I've been to: 1. PNC Park 2. Comerica Park 3. Coors Field 4. Kaufman Stadium 5. Progressive Field 6. Great American Ballpark 7. Turner Field 8. Tropicana Field 9. Three Rivers Stadium In hindsight, though, I think the difference between Three Rivers and PNC is what makes PNC look so great. Had they had a view similar to Kaufman Stadium of greenery and a freeway, I don't think the current PNC Park look would be so astounding. You're judging it against an old concrete bowl with bright colored (usually empty) seats. At least now, the stadium with seems to fit the surroundings in color and aesthetics.

When I went to a game a couple of seasons ago, that was the concourse near where we sat and I loved the view. There's also a DANG good Ivar's there with the best chicken tenders (yes, chicken at Ivar's!) and garlic fries I've ever had. The whole Safeco experience was really perfect.
Dynasty 2,411 Posted May 22, 2017 Pittsburgh and San Francisco, easily.
DTConcepts 2,123 Posted May 22, 2017 Maybe not the best, but Coors Field's Rockpile has a pretty nice view of downtown Denver. It's also got pretty good views of the Rocky Mountains, especially right at sunset, mostly on the higher levels. (As seen in the picture)
FinsUp1214 5,678 Posted May 23, 2017 I've never been there, but I've always thought Busch has a really nice view. Along with Safeco, I'll throw in a vote for that.
kimball 5,182 Posted May 23, 2017 I've been to Dodger Stadium a number of times and while I don't mind the view from the outfield, I always felt if it faced downtown it'd be a much better view. I can't be the only one that thinks so?
FiddySicks 11,203 Posted May 23, 2017 I'm pretty sure it's built that way because they built it into the hillside and kinda had to put it in that direction. For as much as I hate the Dodgers, the only park I like better is AT&T. Dodger Stadium is an absolute gem. Safeco is also great. I used to work in that neighborhood and that's still the best job I've ever had mainly because SoDo is such a fun little spot.

FGM13 767 Posted May 23, 2017 I've only ever been to Safeco, but man that view of the Sound from the concourse is one of my favourites in the world.

Sport 14,125 Posted May 23, 2017 I took this photo. I think I was with @Bucfan56 for this game. Safeco is my favorite stadium I've been to. GABP has an underrated view of the river and hills while riverboats and barges float by. I just wish they would've oriented it differently, like a 90 degree turn to the right so you'd get the view of the Roebling bridge instead.
