The last one is a 'The CW' station.

They're ranked by local popularity, also.

EDIT: Forgot Rocky Mountain PBS. They've got my favorite of the bunch.

I hope whomever designed those Circle 7 logos for the ABC affiliates got a hefty royalty check.

On mobile so can't post link easily but the ones that look like (7) with a swept seven.

All five of the old-line ABC O&O stations (WABC New York, KABC Los Angeles, WLS Chicago, KGO San Francisco, WXYZ Detroit) used it, and there was a time when it was actually the official logo for the ABC Owned Television Stations division.

It was supposed to designate the O&Os.

Do they really need numbers anymore?  With HD, Dish, and streaming systems, the channels aren't ever on their "number" anyway.

Rockford, Illinois (my hometown)...

No PBS (comes via cable from Chicago and the Wisconsin PBS network in Madison), no indies, and certainly no foreign-language stations...unless you had a good enough antenna and live in a part of town that could pick-up the Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison or the Quad Cities stations, that's all you're stuck with.

Also, 17 & 39 are sister stations...a bit of trivia, up until the mid-60s, WTVO originally broadcast on channel 39, but abandoned it for the stronger 17 signal, and 39 laid dormant until WQRF signed-on in 1978.
