Lee.
Since some of you monkeys are bored as , and since no one likes pointless realignment posts crapping up real threads, I've created this thread specifically for you to post your pointless, unrealistic, and borderline asinine realignment ideas here. Anyone from this point on who posts anything realignment-related in a real thread from hereon in deserves every amount of crap the rest of the community decides to heap upon them. Go hog wild. DDR
I like the idea of the White Sox and the Cubs playing more often (and possibly competing for playoff spots down the stretch), but I still dream of a Sox/Cubs World Series. With that in mind, I've developed something admittedly a little bit out of the box: seasonal divisions and separate post-season divisions. I don't have it all worked out yet, but here's a sampling:SEASONAL DIVISIONSAL CentralWhite SoxCubsCardinalsTwinsIndiansNL CentralAstrosRoyalsRedsBrewers TigersPOST-SEASON DIVISIONSAL CentralWhite SoxRedsAstrosBrewers CardinalsNL CentralCubsRoyalsIndiansTwinsTigersThink of the possible WS matchups:Cubs/SoxCubs/CardsSox/TwinsRoyals/Cards! BBTV
It's good, but I think the NHL needs to expand more in order to get the alignment just right. I'm thinking Birmingham, Tallahassee, San Antonio, and possibly Des Monies. Also, move the Panthers to Winnipeg and rename them the Jets, then move them to Seattle, but keep the name and colors. Also, the Thrashers and Flames should totally switch names/identities.

LMU
Here's my foolproof plan to appease all you traditionalists:Contract the 'yotes and the Islanders to the AHL (let's face it, both are financial messes).Promote the Moose and the Wolf Pack.Moose rename themselves to the Winnipeg Jets, Wolf Pack rename themselves to the Whalers. There! TFoA
This is the greatest thread in the history of Sports in General. Finally, the shackles of realignment have been loosed. I will subscribe to this thread & enjoy it like hell. This is almost as good as the Nutcracker thread.
MattF
Here's my idea for the NFL, for starter we contract the entire NFC except for the Rams, I'm mean will anyone really miss the Packers anyway. Also the AFC needs major realignment so here we go, I thought I'd name the new divisions after some football legends. Also the NFL needs to expand overseas so the new NFC will be the International Football Conference, the IFC.AFCTyler Thigpen Division-Kansas City Chiefs-Miami Dolphins-Denver Broncos-Toledo (To be named later)-formerly the RaidersBubby Brister Division-Pittsburgh Steelers-Buffalo Bills-New York Jets-Jacksonville JaguarsTim Couch Division-Cleveland Browns-Denver Broncos-Baltimore Ravens-Tulsa Outlawzz-formerly the PatriotsPacman Jones Division-Tennessee Titans-New York Jets-Cincinnati Bengals-San Diego ChargersIFCSouth American Division-Lima Donkeys-Rio de Janero Waxers-Buenos Aires Argies-Mexico City Drug RunnersEuropean Division-London Big Bens-Glasgow Funny Accents-Dublin Thiery Henrys-Rome Fightin' Pizzas-Rome(NY) Why are we heres-Ukraine FreezeMiddle-East Divison-Jerusalem Jews-Baghdad (TBNL)-Iran (TBNL)-Berlin PanzersLuxembourg Division-Luxembourg Fightin' People from Luxembourg-St. Louis Rams
