So I take at that the return of the Phoenix Roadrunners and the lack of the Manitoba Moose is indicative of the Coyotes moving back to Winnipeg?

I loved both growing up, I'm a bit torn between which I'd rather see: Utah Grizzlies or Salt Lake Golden Eagles.

Well, I think the Roadrunners have a better nickname than the Yotes, and the latter team's return to Winnipeg, as much as hockey fans want it, might not come true. If I was in Utah, I'd choose to watch the Grizzlies.

FYI, the Blazers and Steelhounds are both defunct.

True, but they can always come back for a couple years at a time.

Fair 'nuff explanations. Thanks!

As much as people want it to happen, the Redskins are never changing their name, and any new owner that tries to change will likely be branded a socialist/commie/marxist/Nazi by the fans.

One would be branded a Nazi for removing a derogatory label?

I'm not sure that any intelligent fan would do that, regardless of their allegiance or appreciation for the history of the club as the Redskins.

But there's a possibility given all the irrationality in this country lately.

By lately I meant with the town hall disruptions since 09 and all that.

NFL in 10 years:

AFC West:

Denver Broncos

Kansas City Chiefs

Los Angeles Avengers

Oakland Raiders

AFC South:

Birmingham Jaguars

Houston Drillers

Indianapolis Colts

Tennessee Titans

NFC West

Arizona Cardinals

Omaha Rams

San Francisco 49ers

Seattle Seahawks

All the other divisions would be the same as right now.

I've remembered that Birmingham (AL) was a potential NFL relocation site in the late 1970s, so it could work. Omaha might, as well; are you basing this on the support the UFL's Nighthawks are getting? If Omaha has a chance for an NFL team, then Salt Lake would, too (in terms of size), as SLC's metro area is a bit larger than Omaha's (1.1 Million to 850,000), without including Provo/Orem and Ogden.

Are there any areas that aren't considered part of the Omaha/Council Bluffs metro area nearby that I'm missing?

No, but at the same time Nebraska would kill (or at least, wound enough to be uneconomical) the Rams at the box office.

Dude, you weren't even around here when that happened.

I read through it and deciphered the system of it, the minor league affiliates and everything

Too bad that joke ran it's course. It hasn't even been brought up for months, and that's for a reason.

You're trying too hard.
