Lakeland Jets (NAHL) Redesign

Today, I will be taking a break from the ABL so I could redesign the NAHL's Lakeland Jets, who played from 1990-1995 in Lakeland, Michigan. But why this team? My uncle played goalie for 2 seasons on this team before an injury ended his (junior) hockey career. He's still playing hockey, by the way.

I plan on making a throwback uniform, but I do not have the original logo with me right now. (it's not even on the internet, 90s NAHL/junior hockey stuff can be sought-after) As usual, C&C is appreciated.

Looks good to start! Has a minor-league feel to it, which is nice. I would just add some arm stripes. They will help complete the jersey.

As for the logos, they're off to a good start, but I think the jet should be in the center of the triangle, but keep the swoosh, and maybe even put Lakeland at the top of the triangle. For the jet, the wings look too chunky right now. They should be a little sleeker. The alternate is fine as is.

Better? Wings still seem a little big to me. Streamline them a bit, and just make them thinner. It's definitely an improvement over the last logo, too.

The pants are an upgrade, as well.

Here's a tweaked logo, this time with skinnier wings. I also tweaked the swoosh a smidge.

The jet is still off (especially the nose and tail section). If you take away the word mark, I'd guess it was a rocket or missile of some kind. Do an image search of "top view of a fighter jet" and you will get a better idea on  the shape adjustment you need to make. I also suggest centering the jet in the triangle. There is a lot of empty space in the triangle. Maybe thicken the beginning of the red trail, and thin it a little at the curve.

And, we've got yet another tweak:

And some throwback stuff:

And without further ado, the only photo I have (currently) of an original Lakeland Jets uniform! (My uncle's head is cut out from the photo for privacy reasons)

(yeah, for some reason the sleeves are longer...)
