As many pundits were anticipating, UCLA has hired Chip Kelly as the new head coach of the Bruins' football program. Kelly has inked a 5-year contract worth $23.3 million with a $9 million reciprocal buyout.

UCLA Names Chip Kelly New Head Football Coach

That was a better landing spot for him than UF. I know Florida pursued him pretty hard, but I wonder if that was more because he was available and it was convenient. I was able talk myself into really wanting Kelly, but I think they're better off if they land Frost.

Also, Felipe Franks (pretty sure I spelled the first name wrong but I'm in phone) is awful.  Just the absolute worst.

I"m a graduate of the Ohio State University and a huge fan.  Always great to beat U of M.

However, IMO regardless of the outcome of the B10 championship game, they aren't one of the 4 best teams in the country, and I hope they don't get in... it's not their year, and I don't think the playoffs would go their way.

Let's win the B10, go to a really good bowl game, win that, and I'll be satisfied this year.

ROLL....FREAKING...TEARS. That is all.

(Oh and big ups to my Seminoles taking down them swamp things for yet another year in a row...)

*Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. 😁

Rich Rod needs to go. That was a flat out embarrassing effort in the 2nd half.

I want want to know what drugs the athletic department was on this week.

I have a feeling that both him and Graham will both lose their jobs.

If that was CTG's final game as coach of the Sun Devils, I'm good with his tenure. I almost feel like dropping him now when he's still got $12 million remaining to be paid would be unwise after that season (which was MUCH better than I expected), but his seat is gonna be REALLY hot next season. I won't be heartbroken if they decide to go in another direction, but firing him for a guy like Kevin Sumlin comes across as a desperate lateral move.

Would love for the Devils to make a splash and go after Frost. I know it won’t happen but it sure would be nice a

You know the world's gone mad when the only undefeated Power 5 conference team is STILL being left out of most folks' playoff predictions.

Does Bama have the resume to get into the playoff if Auburn hangs on?

IMO no, Bama’s most impressive win was against a now terrible FSU team. Auburn has beat two number one teams

Excellent!

RichRod, Mora and Graham were all hired in 2012 right as USC was deep in their post-Carroll probation and scholarship loses and each failed to capitalize. When USC came off probation in 2014, they only had 44 scholarship players (limit is 85) and a HC who we found out a year later had his own issues. Each of those three coaches won the South Division, but nothing bigger when it was there for any of the three.

What an absolute disaster Tennessee's coaching search is turning out to be. I can't see that school ever turning it around.

I'd say their most impressive win, given how FSU's season turned out, was against a four loss Mississippi State team.  They shouldn't get into the playoffs but I fear they might on name alone.

Speaking of Mississippi State, Florida announced Dan Mullen as their new head coach.  He wasn't the sexiest name out there, but was probably the safe choice.  I wanted Frost but if he wants to go back home, there's not much you can do I'm pleased.  Hopefully Frost heads back to Nebraska so UCF can fall back into obscurity (nothing against the program, just don't need the additional in-state competition for recruiting).
