Yes, Liberty is moving up next season and they do have Baylor's old AD (the same guy involved in the whole sexual assault scandal), but there's no reason why Baylor couldn't curb stomp them... If anything comes out this, is that Liberty will use this as motivation to prepare for next season AND see if they can get more Power 5 teams to come out there. The Solid Verbal "body blow" theory is what USC will have to deal with against Stanford followed by Texas and it's the Longhorns best chance to win. UNLV now looks just like North Texas circa 2008 after hiring a local, title winning HS coach in Todd Dodge at Southlake Carroll. Both networks wanted their games in primetime for higher ad rates. Tech/WVU wanted to be on Thursday as far back as January, according to VT AD Babcock, but when Fox moved UCLA/TAMU to Sunday in late March, they moved to Sunday a couple of days later as not to have Fox to have a lone primetime game. Spite your competition. Impressive comeback/2OT thriller or not this team doesn't deserved ranked status. At least they won. I'm expecting another year of getting stomped by Alabama (again), probably lose to Florida (last year was a fluke), inexplicably lose to Vanderbilt in the last week of the season (again, because Vols), finish second in the East (again), and win a middle-of-the-pack Sponsor Bowl game (again). Yawn. How many years are we gonna get of underachieving in the most frustrating but predictable ways possible? Nah, going for two was absolutely the right decision; Tech gets three yards on a majority of their plays -- their whole offense is built around getting four yards on every down. Often times, when this decision is made, it's because the coach knows his defense is gassed and/or his kicker is spooked. And seeing as how Tennessee scored twice pretty easily in overtime, it's a pretty safe assumption that GT was done on defense. If you got a one-play chance to win the game on offense, it's a good gamble to put all your chips in on. Especially when they've had issues with the kicking game all night long, as you said. Tennessee allowed well over 600 yards on defense, with like 530 of that on rushing alone...and still found a way to win the game.
