Raiders are trying to squeeze Janikowski in final season of his contract, $4.05 million and restructure.

Team brought in Mike Nugent, Josh Mambo, and Marshall Koehn.

How dare they do that to Janikowski. He's been there forever, I think he deserves what they're paying him now and let him ride off into the sunset after 17 years.

Myles Garrett is officially a Brown.

The Browns fear Myles Garrett's right ankle injury is serious, sources tell cleveland.com, and he'll undergo an MRI soon.

Garrett, the No. 1 overall pick, suffered the injury during Wednesday's practice and had to leave early. He didn't return. It occurred during the portion of practice closed to the media.

The Browns won't know the extent of the injury until the results of the exams are in, but one source said the club fears he could miss a period of weeks, possibly four or more.

The Browns might also solicit a second opinion, as they did when Garrett suffered a lateral left foot sprain during minicamp on June 14.

:censored: ty situation for the teams for sure.

Almost as :censored: ty as having a Cat 5 hurricane bearing down on both teams locales.

Shouldn't the NFL schedule makers avoid games in Florida (and NO and maybe Houston) for the first couple of weeks? Would it really be that hard?

Hurricane season runs through November 30th.  You can't just avoid Florida or other coastal cities until hurricane season ends.

But don't most of the most damage causing ones hit on September?. I can't recall a game being moved in November due to a hurricane.

The peak is in September.  But there have been big storms that hit in October or later.  Hurricane Matthew, just last year, hit in early October.  And that Superstorm Sandy a few years ago that hit New York City was around Halloween.

Absolutely. It's a lose-lose situation for both of them, but the plus side of the postponement is that it's not endangering any of the players or fans.

I haven't seen a hurricane as extreme as this in a while.

The Bucs-Dolphins game has been postponed for Week 11 due to Hurricane Irma... which means they'll play sixteen-straight games.

That's bull :censored:. Move the game to Philly or Pittsburgh. This league is such trash.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs just put up 40 on the Patriots on their party night.  They've had no answers for the Chiefs offense tonight.  And their offense kinda disappeared in the second half.

It's one game, and their division still stinks....but the Patriots can be had.

Unfortunately, Eric Berry, the one who shut down Gronk tonight, probably blew out his Achilles.

You know going in this wasn't going to be the same Patriots team with Edelman, Ninkovich, etc. But I don't think anyone expected that.

All credit to KC, they always played the Patriots tough, but damn did that injury bug turn into a full blown virus with the Patriots.

Hightower and now Amendola hurt as well, this went from one of the deepest offenses to one of the thinnest in a single game.

Red Sox: 8    Celtics: 17    Bruins: 6    Patriots: 5

That one game is 14% of their home schedule this year.  If the roles were reversed and the Bucs were in that spot, you'd be fine with them wanting to keep their 7 games.

No, I absolutely wouldn't. I'd take a slew of games at a neutral site if it meant not having to play 16 consecutive weeks in a league that's supposedly so concerned about player safety. I'm not even thinking about it from a Bucs strategy standpoint, as I genuinely couldn't care any less how they finish this year. I just feel like I'd have more sympathy for the league and the owners if they didn't constantly show that the ONLY thing they care about, above even the well being of their eployees, is the bottom line.

Thoughts on last night:

1. :censored: Mark Wahlberg. He left the Super Bowl early and everybody saw him.

2. Boston sports fans can poop in a hat and wear the hat. Boston media and fans immediately second guessed Belichick last night for not trading Janeane Garofalo for defensive help in the offseason. You can't give the man who brought you 5 championships and the longest period of sustained excellence in the Super Bowl era a little credit? You are the least deserving group of people that could be gifted this reliably dominant team. If that's my coach/GM he could field a team of 53 golden retriever puppies, lose every game for the next five years and I'd be good with every single move. Again, poop in a hat and wear the hat.  The Red Sox apple watch cheating thing needs to be a bigger story than it is.

3. Foxboro is like 45 minutes with good traffic away from Boston and yet every to-commercial bumper shot is downtown Boston or some dude drinking tea on the USS Constitution. Might as well shoot some footage of a covered bridge in New Hampshire at that point.

4. I watched that game on mute while listening to music because I couldn't handle the Patriots slobber fest. I'm convinced now this is the only way to watch this silly sport. I highly recommend this.

5. I went to sleep when the Patriots took the lead in the third quarter knowing I'd either wake up to a pleasant surprise or just see what I expected to see. Glad to rise to see the bad guys lost.

6. I still can't feel excited about that loss. You can spot the Patriots the rest of their always useless garbage division so they're 6-1 right now. I fully expect an 8-1, 7-2 record in the other 9 and home playoff games because the AFC East is pointless. Barring a Brady injury, of course. If Brady gets injured give them one more loss.

7. This sport won't be fun again until the patriots truly suck again and by then football might not exist anymore.

I sound like sabresrule. Whatever. submit reply.
