Lights Out
@McCarthy's Swamp Dragons concept inspired me to do a What-If concept of my own, so here goes... In 1978, when the Buffalo Braves were looking to relocate, San Diego was not actually the early favorite to get the team - Dallas was. In fact, the relocation to Dallas was so close that then-general manager Norm Sonju went as far as announcing what the Braves' new name in Dallas would be: the Express. Of course, we know how history turned out. The Braves moved to San Diego and became the Clippers. Instead of moving with the team, Sonju left the Clippers and, together with Don Carter, started the process of establishing the Dallas Mavericks. But what if the Braves did, in fact, move to Dallas? Here's my attempt to envision what they'd look like today, complete with a Cowboys-inspired color scheme, a Texas flag-inspired alternate, and a logo borrowed from the Round Rock Express. PackMan
Those uniforms remind me of the original San Diego Clippers. I'm guessing you (unintentionally) used the "some things are inevitable" rule on this one. Great job!
kerlonmoura
Love the Express, especially the striping on the alternate is pretty clever.
