That just redirects to the front page of The Sporting News's soccer section.

Rip, my bad. It was supposed to redirect to an article claiming that Messi can never be considered the GOAT now because he's played his whole career for Barcelona. Among the scant pieces of evidence were the fact that Pelé played his whole career in Brazil. Made zero sense, absolute malarkey.

Looking at Group C makes me mad. The US has the talent to win a group like that but squandered it over the last 4 years. Group G would have been a really good way to test where we were against solid European teams. Instead, we'll have friendlies in Orlando and Kansas City next year vs Italy and Chile.

What I see more then anything is how juicy some of these opening games are... Portugal vs. Spain and Argentina vs. Iceland are the best of these opening games. What a chance for Iceland, the little nation that could, to take on a giant in Argentina and Portugal vs. Spain is always a great match up.

México got screwed.

I think Mexico is in a pretty good spot. Germany will be a monumental task but South Korea is not as strong as they have been in previous years and Sweden plays in a manner similar to how the United States played at the Azteca. Mexico will probably be the second seed coming out of there but they should advance if they have their heads on straight. They also have the good fortune of playing Germany first so there's a good chance they can grab all three points.

These groups just seem... soft. You can clearly see the effects of countries like Italy and Chile failing to qualify. Like always, it should make for an interesting tournament.

Iran and Morocco in the same group sticks out.

I like Panama's chances to get through.

I took the quiz twice and got Poland each time. I like a dark horse ?

I had picked out both Poland and Senegal as potential dark horses... but they were drawn in the same group.

Poland has a pretty straight shot for the quarters, methinks. Topping Colombia and Senegal shouldn't be too hard, and a potential knockout round matchup against (most likely) England is juicy.

Ehh... that's a bit of an overstatement IMO. Yes, they do open with Germany. But, you have Sweden and South Korea in your group as well. If they can't beat those two nations and get into the Round of 16 in that group, then you know that they have screwed the pooch.

Oh yes. I cannot say I feel the least bit sorry for Real or PSG.

Also, more English teams lucking out. After winning some pretty easy groups, United, Liverpool, and City draw cupcakes AGAIN.
