That.  Looks.   AWESOME.

I would prefer gray roads with the inevitable permanent throwback uniform, but damn do I love royal, powder, and gold.

Hope the guys putting together Milwaukee’s expansion soccer team proposal are taking notes.

The team even remembered to use the Packers-style "5."

I like that attention to detail.

I wouldn't complain if gray is what we got, but damned if these powder blues don't make a strong case of their own.

Powder blue also has the advantage of being a civic color for Milwaukee.  It's featured prominently on both versions of the city flag, and on the DPW vehicles.

Oh, it’s everywhere.

Each of the city’s pro clubs includes at least one shade of blue in their color scheme.  The Brewers, the Bucks, the Admirals, the Wave, the Torrent.  And Marquette, as you mention. Blue is the color of the city's flag, both of ‘em.  Civic institutions like the Milwaukee Athletic Club and Milwaukee Press Club use blue.

When the Mayor issues a proclamation, it looks like this:

There’s just no denying that blue is the city’s color.  Usually royal blue, but sometimes light blue.  These throwbacks have both, and really couldn’t get more “Milwaukee” if they elected socialist mayors, drank Collectivo Coffee with their Usinger’s on a picnic in the nation’s best public park system, and finished the day with a Femmes show at  Summerfest.

Probably wishful thinking, but I’d love it if the Marlins added their throwback uniform into a regular rotation the same way the White Sox, Brewers, and Diamondbacks have.

Powder blue and the DH.... god I've missed the American League!  The only thing that could've made this game more perfect to me is if they ran a TV 18 ident after every commercial break (WSNS 44 for you Chicagoans).

I think this is the route they eventually take because everyone loves the throwbacks but they can't just go back to those completely so I think they do a rebrand and then include a complete throwback into the rotation as well.

Brewers are wearing their “Power Blues” again today in Chicago.  No word yet about the Sox.

I read in a facebook group that the Sox are wearing their throwbacks for the entire series.  Good on the Brewers for wearing their powder blues too!

Likely a cost thing. Get their moneys worth.

Personally, make these grey and buttons and would be a fantastic road jersey for them full-time.

I'd be more than happy if that were to happen.  But I think seeing the powder blues in action has cemented my desire for a button down version of those.

Powder blue may have been a mistake for most teams, but it just seemed to "work" for the Brewers as they had the perfect colors to compliment it.  They could own that color again in the NL, and possibly all of the majors since Kansas City and Tampa Bay only half-ass it on light blue.

I'm sorry, but carrying Summerfest and sausages around with them would undeniably make the uniforms more Milwaukee! They'd also be hard to run in.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

I do like the powder blues, but I think they’re only good in small doses and with the teams who’s colour scheme fits powder blue, unlike grey which is a more neutral sports colour for all the teams.

I don’t know if I’d like to see a team go back to full time powder blues on the road, but a full time alternate set could be fun.
