Last year it became home to the then-brand new Univ. of West Florida Argonauts football team...Aerial-View.thumb.jpg.fc511bcd177a42c25724d500c40acaa9.jpg

Multi-purpose stadiums are one of the few things I don't miss from the past.  They look horrible for the most part and some of the sight lines are horrific.

I had visited UWF when I was a senior in high school. Beautiful campus and what a gorgeous location for a stadium!

I always like layouts where one of the goal lines matches a baseline, as in the Safeco picture.  AT&T was sooo close.

A different kind of football ;) Club Tijuana has played a few exhibition games at Petco Park in the past.

The same stadium, then called Pac Bell Park, hosting the the XFL's San Francisco Demons in 2001.  The baseball diamond was not visible.  But we get a good view of the temporary seating in right field.

One of my favorites when this is discussed.  This isn't football being played over the baseball diamond, but you can see the football markings in the first picture.

Here's a timelapse of the Metrodome going from baseball to football and back to baseball.

This reminds me of playing rec league soccer circa 1979 . . . except I'm willing to bet the Yankee Stadium infield was at least raked and/or watered before games.

This made me think of Exhibition Stadium.

You can't see the football markings, but here's BC Place hosting a Toronto Blue Jays exhibition game:

Thought That Was The Metrodome For A Second.
