I'd like to read some think pieces about whether starting the season two weeks early has been good or bad.

Things feel a little off this season. That could be standard effects of recently great teams playing deep playoff runs the last few years. It could also be an extended off-season with so much player movement that didn't really stop until the season began.

It's good for the league that the Cavs are garbage and the Warriors are 4-3. But it also feels weird.

While the league got rid of 4 games in 5 nights completely, it seems that teams are getting 3 games in 4 nights out of the way early in the season,  GSW plays LAC tonight, their third game in four nights, but then don't play again until Thursday at SAS and Saturday at DEN.  Their next 3 in 4 comes during a East Coast trip in two weeks,

It's an illusion.

Well, unless Cleveland trades for some defensive help, they might actually be bad.

As good as the Warriors' offense is, their defense is what won them two championships.

The Hornets and the Warriors have the same record, lol.

The Dwight Howard experiment might be working out fine? He's been rebounding and getting a steady point total other than tonight's game, and so far hasn't done anything to hurt the team. We'll see how far in the season this translates.

The T-Wolves haven't looked great, but two losses were without Butler and they are actually closing out close games, which has been a problem since late in the (real) KG era.

When they signed him, I had an instant feeling that he fits with the Hornets. Or fits as well as Dwight Howard can fit with any team. I don't think they're winning any titles, but they'll be formidable.

So Fultz goes into the Okafor and Noel pile now?

We've got to wait for this time in year 3 for Fultz for that, but you forgot they dropped Michael Carter-Williams quickly too.

The team will not pick up the 2018-19 option on the player it drafted third overall in the 2015 draft. The team had until Tuesday night to make a decision on player options for first-rounders on rookie deals.

Okafor was in line to make $6.3 million in what would be his fourth year, if the option had been picked up. However, the Sixers opted not to retain him after they were unable to find a trade partner. This move allows the Sixers to free up $6.3 million from next season’s cap space.

The Sixers have been trying to trade Okafor for more than two seasons. However, teams are unwilling to give up what the Sixers believe is equal value. Some squads even asked for an additional player or a future draft pick in order to take Okafor off their hands. According to a league source, the Toronto Raptors considered trading for Okafor this summer. However, they would only do it if Robert Covington was included in the trade. The Sixers declined.

Lonzo Ball is twice the size of Damian Lillard. Too bad tonight is one of those games where he doesn't score. GG though.

The Baby Lakers continue to be super fun. Bummer Nance Jr. got injured. :(
