And then what happened?

I don't know :censored:. It was close for a quarter, until Dwyane Wade of all people took over. I liked this moment a lot:

Also, Joel Embiid is really good...but sometimes he gets lazy and tired and is a danger to himself and others.

Kings slay the dragon! Checks box score and Curry and Durant didn't play. Great win though in the Bay Area.

True, but Bogdan Bogdanovic is good!

Warriors always seem to drop one to the Kings. They did last season as well, and damn near did so the game prior to that (which I was at).

I'd like to say the Kings have a lot of potential, but damn if they do struggle to realize that potential.

Gasol is as much a Memphian as he's Spanish. Remember Marc went to HS there.

There's just a handful of guys who could lose the respect of the star player and keep his job and nearly all of them have rings.

This is basically as old as the NBA.

Magic got Westhead fired, LeBron got both Silas and Blatt fired, Boogie gets them all fired...

Plus, how has Chris Wallace stayed GM there since 2007?

If Fizdale basically dared them to fire him as some are reporting, he may have to wait a while for a second opportunity. Apparently, he is relieved to be fired today.

He survived trading away Pau, so I'm sure he can survive anything. Plus, Memphis has made the playoffs seven years straight.

The Grizzlies were up 2-1 on the Warriors in the 2015 Playoffs and lost in large part because of an injured Mike Conley.

Memphis has had some terrible injury luck in the playoffs and have always felt like they deserve an "incomplete."

He got Marc back for Pau.

He also drafted Hasheem Thabeet,Xavier Henry, Tony Wroten, Jordan Adams and Jarell Martin all in the first round and gave Chandler Parsons $94M! Plus their 2016 pick (17th overall) was cut in October, Wade Baldwin.

Here's a interesting column on Wallace from May:

Maybe it'll be on the Lakers, and maybe not, but Brandon Ingram will be a 20+ ppg player in the league. It's been a lot of fun watching him build his confidence as a scorer.

More Grizzlies drama as Robert Pera has a deadline to buy out the minority shareholders or sell his majority and leave.

The original story is at The Athletic (pay wall), so I'll link to B/R.

Edit: The signing of Chandler Parsons reportedly didn't send him for a physical and the team didn't put injury protection in the contract language.

The Bulls will be lucky to win 12 games. This is stupid, they're the Bulls so they're not even gonna get anything out of it.

They have guys like Paul Zipser, Antonio Blakeney, and David Nwaba who I haven’t heard of. Sounds like computer players on the NBA video games.

Maybe the Bulls are embarking on a process.

Well yeah, kinda, except whereas the Sixers were run by a guy given to gnomic nonsense like "innovation is the wisdom of foolishness in the absence of yesterday," the Bulls are run by three or four idiots who are all feuding with one another over stupid personal grievances no one else cares about. The Sixers executed their dumb vision; the Bulls will never even start because they'll be too busy stopping one guy from getting the other guy fired for being rude to the third guy's secretary.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

It must suck believing in a "process" you know is never going to win anything

It doesn’t suck at all, but thanks for your input.
