NBA 2017-18: A Tale of Two Conferences

The new-look Cavs look great so far at the half, and the effort on defense has been amazing. LeBron pounding the ball on offense and playing 1-on-5 without minding his teammates has been very frustrating to watch, though. If only Cedi had made that fast-break dunk. And what about the drive to the lane and furious dunk by JR?!

Well, I did say The Cavs needed some big trades to have a chance at The Finals again.

You can definitely notice the hole losing Hayward has had on The Celtics in big games like this.

Cavs basically blew up & completely rebuilt their team in less than 1 night. LOL

The Celtics are still too young and the Raptors are the basketball Capitals.  The Cavs pretty much had a ticket to the finals punched the minute Hayward went down and that certainly isn't changing now after they retooled

If the Eagles can win the Super Bowl and the Astros can win the World Series..........

Sorry, but I'm not going to act as if the Cavs are entitled to the Finals just because they have a 33 year old who quite frankly at some point is going to feel some wear and tear from all his minutes.

No. That Cavs team wasn't making The Finals (likely not even the Easter Conference Finals).

Even Altman knew that, which is why he essentially blew up & rebuilt the team at the deadline.

This Cavs team might actually make it now.

Take out the Eagles analogy since it's a one game sample size.

I'll act like the Cavs ARE entitled because they have LeBron and he is 33, which is not the 33 of any other player in terms of health and rehab. Plus, mofos still have to be the first to four.

Nobody is "entitled" to a finals berth. Teams have to fight each other for it and some teams are in better shape to win it than others. Right now Cleveland is in better shape to come out of the east than anyone else. They have the most talent, and even after trading out half their roster they're still the team with the experience.

how does this team break everything they touch

I jokingly called this wheb they first shut him down in the beginning of the season. Maybe I should have been serious about my prediction.

You're not a fan of him, right?

The fact that he was being so petty that Jalen Rose called him out several weeks ago, made yesterday even sweeter. I was shocked to see a team that was attacking the basket when LeBron wasn't on the court. I hadn't seen them do that in the limited games I've watched this year.
