I hope the Lakers and Nuggets play each in the postseason within the next couple of seasons.

There’s a rivalry brewing there. It’ll be fun.

No kidding.

It's such a shame the Lakers blew the first half of the season because they've become a really good, smart, skilled team. And IT has been terrific off the bench the past few games. These Lakers are a real treat to watch. If they get LeBron and Paul George next year, great. But if they strike out and keep their core? That's not so bad either.

Keeping Randle has to be a priority. He's definitely figured out how to use his size and bulk to knock people the eff over. And he's got a bit of Draymond in him too.

And if you're a box score guy, Lonzo had another Lonzo night - 5/9/8, plus 3 steals, 2 blocks and a game-high +18. They're going to eventually name stats after him.

Celtics are doubly cooked if Marcus Smart's newest injury keeps him out of the playoffs. Meanwhile the Pacers snuck up to the 3-seed and while that's probably their ceiling, you could imagine some momentum carrying them in the playoffs. At any rate I think the Raps are actually legit this year!

As a Caps fan, I must warn you, this is a very, very dangerous line of thinking my friend.

I'm starting to thinking it might actually be Houston vs. Raptors.

In typical Raptors fashion, they'll choke it away in a 5 game series.

Red Sox: 8    Celtics: 17    Bruins: 6    Patriots: 5

Going independent wasn't exactly what I thought it would be, but I still believe it was the right decision. Many important lessons have been learned over the past six months. We have made great strides in expanding our content and connecting with you in ways I had only hoped were possible. I couldn’t be more psyched about the work we’ve been doing. Unfortunately, the group we joined last August is not the ideal long-term fit for me and the crew. As a result, we have decided to part ways with the Leverage the Chat Network effective immediately.

Nevertheless...the show must go on! As of today we are launching a new PODCAST Network called "Count the Dings." For now it will feature five different shows, from the cast of characters you know so well: Zach Harper, BIG Wos, Tom Haberstroh, BLK Tray, Amin Elhassan, Mariano Bivins, Coach Thorpe and Mama Hoye. To keep things simple and clean for our community, we will be broadcasting the shows under one podcast channel: "Back To Back.”

Tray says it all the time, "Jokes > Facts.” Right now, the fact is we need your help to keep this going. We are moving forward without traditional financial backing, becoming a truly independent company with complete creative control. It’s a risk but one we all felt we had to take to move forward in a way that allows us to be ourselves and continue to create the high quality, offbeat content you expect from us.

To that end, I've set up a Patreon page for people to support this endeavor and also have the ability to purchase exclusive content. The essential elements of the shows will still be available to everyone. We're simply exploring new ways for the community to support us.

Prediction: Warriors will not win the title this year. Injuries, age and a below average bench have caught up to them.

This is kind of where I’m at. They’re still amazing and if they pulled it out again I wouldn’t at all be surprised, but I won’t be shocked if we didn’t.  It feels like there is a legit chance that we’re gonna get a really weird finals like Raptors vs Rockets. That’s a great turn for basketball.

Now watch it be Dubs over Cavs in four.

If Amin and Wos are involved, I'm in. I had to give up on the ESPN feed with McMahon, Windhorst and, worst of all, Andrew Han. They're just boring, and Han makes any podcast he's involved in actively worse.

Eep.

Making three Finals in a row is really, really difficult. Eventually all those extra games take a toll.

2017-18 is the year when people finally start taking notice of Montrezl Harrell. I've loved him since he was killing fools at Louisville and I'm happy he's beginning to make his mark in the NBA.

EDIT: Actually, reread the announcement? Mama Hoye? Never again.

Here's the new schedule/format.

Hopefully, Black Trey can learn to say more than, "That's crazy" or, "That's funny, man". The ESPN NBA pods are down to just twice a week now.

The format didn't paste.

It sucks. TrueHoop was so good and I listened every single day. The only basketball podcasts I listen to now are Bill Simmons and whatever Ringer NBA show Chris Vernon isn't on. But the Ringer NBA pods are like everything the admiral hates about modern NBA fandom: white stat dorks pretending the league is played on Twitter.

FRIDAY: The #askWos Mailbag

I'll listen to whatever show doesn't include Jade's stupid mom. Or Jade talking.

Do I have to pay to download it?

No, it is up on Apple podcasts and Google Play. Those five are going to be free. Other content will be on Patreon.

Another podcasts for you might be the one from WaPo's national NBA writer Tim Bontemps, who is often on the larger ESPN writer pods, but he goes 1 on 1 with another writer over the team they cover.

If you told me in mid-January that the Jazz would go on a 21-2 run from that point on, I would’ve laughed you out of the room. They looked totally and completely cooked two months ago, now they’re 5th in the West and 10 games over .500. This is awesome.

The Warriors' top four are all out injured right now. Durant and Klay should be fine come the playoffs, but Steph continuing to have ankle problems seems ominous.

Maybe this is great because they're getting their rest now, or they're entering year four of major minutes. No one but the 60s Celtics and LeBron James (and James Jones) goes back to back to back to back because it's really, really hard.

Plus the Jazz, Rockets and Blazers all look incredible right now. A healthy Warriors team is still the favorite, but they're not healthy now and who knows if they will be.
